Project Profile:

Engineering Change Management (ECM) enables Cisco employees and suppliers to manage manufacturing processes and data from customer order to fulfillment. It starts with the creation of parts & BOM Structuring in Agile through change notices, and ends when the entire BOM structure get copied over to the designated local orgs. Apart from bug fixes and enhancements, we provide a 24 X 7 support for the ECM platform, this involves co-coordinating with the application owners in case of any major issue and interacting with the TRC to resolve any P1’s.

Involved in resolving day to day P1 to P5 support incidents depending on the priority. Performing root cause analysis and creating problems so that business can prioritize the same. Development of code as per the bug fixes. Help offshore team by sharing Knowledge on Oracle R12 BOM Management module. Fixing various code gaps in stabilizing R12 system (Integration between Agile and Oracle EBiz). Unit testing and system integration testing of the developed code. It was a Migration project in which SJ database get retired and all the applications which reside on SJPROD get migrated to CG1 (Cisco Global 1). There were around 92 applications in which 89 got lift & shift while remaining 3 were part of functional upgrade.
