Preliminary steps to participate in our LIVE Auctions

In order to participate in our LIVE Auctions an active account at karamitsos.com website is nesessary. If you already have an account please visit our website and log in by filling your username at the field (1) and your password at the field (2). Then press button “Log in” (3). If you don’t have an account, you have to register first by pressing “Register now” (4).

Below you can see our registration form that you have to fill in. Please fill in all the fields (Name, Surname, Username - Password - choose easy to remember username and password, Address, Zip-code, City, State, Country, E-mail, Phone number).Please fill in your primary email (1) in order to get all our notifications! You can choose, if you like, to get notifications for upcoming auctions (2), you can write down any special notes (3), agree with our Terms and Conditions (4) and finally register by pressing the “Register” button (5).

-- LIVE Auction Platform --When the auction starts our LIVE Auction Platform will launch and you will be able to place some real time bids!

Above you can see our LIVE Auction Platform. You can see the number of the auction (1), which lot is now live (2) and the total number of the lots of the current part of the auction (3). Please notice, that for your convinience, our auctions will be seperated into parts of 500-800 lots maximum. At the central section (4) you can see the photo of the lot, its number and description and its starting price. Below, there is the countdown timer (5). Every lot will be live for 10 seconds and when there is a new bid it will be updated for another 5 seconds. The timer turns red when the time is ready to expire. Under the timer you can see the current highest bid (6) and if you are winning the lot (7). At the field (8) it will automatically appears the next minimum bid required or you can fill it in with your offer (No underbids allowed). In order to place your bid all you have to do is just to click on the “Place Bid” button (9). Finally, you can view the log of the auction for the current lot at the section below (10).

Όλοι οι λαχνοί περιγράφονται προσεκτικά και πωλούνται ως γνήσιοι και αυθεντικοί εκτός αν περιγράφονται άλλως. Ο αγοραστής μπορεί να απορρίψει το λαχνό και να τον επιστρέψει εντός 7 ημερών (ημερομηνία σφραγίδας ταχυδρομείου) απο την λήξη της δημοπρασίας, αν αποδείξει ότι δεν είναι γνήσιος ή ότι περιγράφηκε λανθασμένα. Οι λαχνοί πρέπει να επιστρέφονται όπως παραλήφθηκαν αρχικά, χωρίς καμμία διαφοροποίηση. Λαχνοί που εξετάσθηκαν προηγουμένως από τους υποψηφίους αγοραστές δεν επιστρέφονται. Επίσης δεν επιστρέφονται λαχνοί που αγοράσθηκαν στην Αίθουσα μετά την έξοδο των αγοραστών από αυτή. Οι αγοραστές δεν έχουν το δικαίωμα επιστροφής μικτών λαχνών, συλλογών, λαχνών που έχουν ελαττώματα σε μικροαξίες, καθώς και φωτογραφημένων στον κατάλογο λαχνών, για ελαττώματα ορατά στη φωτογραφία (κεντράρισμα, περιθώρια, οδόνττωση). Όταν η αξία του λαχνού είναι στη σφραγίδα και όχι στο γραμματό-

σημο, ο λαχνός δεν μπορεί να επιστραφεί για ελάττωμα του γραμματοσήμου.

Κάθε λαχνός περιέρχεται στον πλειοδότη, που προσφέρει την υψηλότερη τιμή. Σε περίπτωση ίσων ταχυδρομικών προσφο-ρών, πλειοδότης θεωρείται αυτός που η προσφορά του έφθασε πρώτη στα Γραφεία μας. Τηλεφωνικές εντολές αγοράς

γίνονται δεκτές από γνωστούς πελάτες, πρέπει όμως να επικυρωθούν γραπτώς.

Πριν από την έναρξη της πωλήσεως ή την ημέρα της δημοπρασίας (για γραπτές προσφορές), η Εταιρία έχει το δικαίωμα να αποσύρει λαχνούς, να διαχωρίσει λαχνούς σε δύο ή περισσότερα μέρη ή να συνενώσει δύο ή περισσότερους λαχνούς.

Μεγάλοι λαχνοί μπορεί να μην μεταφερθούν για viewing στην Αθήνα ή να μεταφερθούν κατ’επιλογή. Viewing λαχνών, που δεν μεταφέρονται στην Αθήνα, μπορεί να γίνει στα γραφεία στη Θεσσαλονίκη.

Προσφορές γίνονται δεκτές έως 2 ώρες πριν από την έναρξη της δημοπρασίας.

Η πληρωμή πρέπει να γίνεται αμέσως μετά το τέλος της δημοπρασίας στην Αίθουσα ή εντός 10 ημερών από την παρα-λαβή των λαχνών ή του τιμολογίου (για πελάτες Εξωτερικού). Σε αγοραστές εντός Ελλάδος οι λαχνοί αποστέλλονται επί αντικαταβολή και σε γνωστούς πελάτες χωρίς προπληρωμή, για πληρωμή αμέσως μετά την παραλαβή των λαχνών. Αν η πληρωμή καθυστερήσει πέραν των 10 ημερών, η Εταιρία διατηρεί το δικαίωμα να επιβαρύνει το λογαριασμό με το νόμιμο επιτόκιο. Η κυριότητα των λαχνών παραμένει στον πωλητή, μέχρις ότου αποπληρωθεί ο λογαριασμός. Συμμετοχή αγοραστού στη δημοπρασία μπορεί να αποκλεισθεί, αν κατά την κρίση του πωλητού, ο αγοραστής δεν εκπληρώνει τους

όρους της καλής πίστεως.

Η ταχυδρόμηση των λαχνών ή του τιμολογίου γίνεται στην διεύθυνση, που φαίνεται στο έντυπο προσφορών. Τα έξοδα αποστολής βαρύνουν τον αγοραστή. Η απόδειξη παραλαβής “Συστημένου” του Ταχυδρομείου αποτελεί για την Εταιρία

και απόδειξη παραλαβής του υλικού από τον αγοραστή.

Στην τιμή κατακυρώσεως προστίθεται ποσοστό 18% για προμήθειά μας και επί πλέον ο αναλογών ΦΠΑ επί της προ-μήθειάς μας. Όλες οι τιμές στόν κατάλογο είναι σε ΕΥΡΩ.

Απούλητοι λαχνοί με τιμή εκκίνησης “OFFER” δεν διατίθενται προς πώληση μετά τη λήξη της δημοπρασίας.

Η τιμή πώλησης των λαχνών με την ένδειξη “OFFER” ορίζεται από το ποσό της προσφοράς, με κατοχύρωση του λαχνού στην υψηλότερη.

Ο πλειοδότης (είτε βρίσκεται στην Αίθουσα, είτε έχει καταθέσει την προσφορά του μέσω τηλεφώνου/email) είναι υπεύ-θυνος για την εξόφληση του τιμολογίου, εκτός αν έχει συνεννοηθεί γραπτώς ειδάλλως με την Εταιρία.

Οποιοσδήποτε λαμβάνει μέρος στη δημοπρασία είναι γνώστης των προαναφερομένων όρων και τους αποδέχεται πλήρως. Οποιαδήποτε διαφωνία μεταξύ των συμβαλλομένων μερών τίθεται στην κρίση και δικαιοδοσία του αρμοδίου Δικαστηρίου

Θεσσαλονίκης.

Published by Greek newspaper “ACROPOLIS”, printed by Greek newspaper “ESTIA”. 384pp., 30x43cm in Greek language. Describes life in Greece during the Games. Pages 92 to 134 are dedicated to the 1896 Olympic Games (lots of information, photos and illustrations). Total of 534 photos and 114 illustrations. Original hard linen cover, with original

Stainless steel, 27cm high, made by Krupp Factory, designed by Carl Diem. Inscribed on

the rim “Als Dank Dem Trager - Organisations-Komitee Fur Die Xl. Olympiade Berlin 1936”,

stamped “Krupp Nirosta V2A Stahl, Stiftung der Fried. Krupp A.G. Essen”. Route of torch run

from Olympia to Berlin on shaft. Carried during the first Olympic torch relay from Olympia

Greece to Berlin, a distance of 3075 in 12 days. Starting Price: 2800 €

Games. Torch Relay Diploma (Urkunde). Designed by

Hoenig. Olympic Bowl with fire and Olympic rings at the top. Legend: “URKUNDE /

Veteris Typus Ex conatibus Geographicis Abrab. Ortelij.” original copper plate engraved beautiful

and decorative historical map of Thrace, showing northern Greece, southern Bulgaria

and the north west of Turkey with some Aegean islands. Cartouche in the upper left

corner dedication to Ortelius and two nice title cartouches with description in Latin: “Thraciae Aliquot Incogniti Situs Loca” and Loca Circa

Byzantium”. Originally engraved by Ortelius for his “Theatrum Orbis Terrarum” in 1585 and re-published thereafter. This one is probably originating from the Hondius / Janssonius

Title cartouche with the Giustiniani coat of arms. Glued on thick carton, tear on upper right corner margin. Overall excellent impression. Wonderful bird-eye view of Chios, focusing

on the formation of the town and the port, but also presenting the island s landscape with indications of land-uses. Parts of surrounding lands are depicted and indicated through a short explanatory key. The history of Chios is tied to the Giustiniani family from Genoa that ruled the island from the fourteenth century until 1566, when a delay in the payment of the yearly tax

gave Sultan Suleyman the Great the pretext to conquest the island, while the surrounding islands and Asia Minor lands had already fallen under the ottoman rule.

Lot. 6159 RP HMS Trafalgar, c.1892. Large photographic album containing 118 albumen (except 2 silver-prints) photos in total. The album

seems to be owned by Harry Robinson, secretary to Rear Admiral Albert Hastings Markham in the Mediterranean, and present unique views from the Mediterranean (Greece, Asia Minor & Egypt) and the Bay of Bengal (Burma & Andaman Islands). Large

part of album concerns Greece with places depicted: Rhodes (4), Kavala (2), Crete (2), Samos (3), Athens (6), Mycenae (4), Eleusis (3), Epidaurus (1), Thasos (8), Santorini (6), Poros (3), Milos (1), Syros (2), Corfu (5), Corinth Canal under construction (2). Other places depicted in Mediterranean: Asia Minor (10), Egypt & Cairo (8), Malta (5). The album also contains twenty (20)

photographs from Burma and four (4) rare photos depicting natives of Andaman Islands. HMS Trafalgar is presented twice in the album. Admiral Sir Albert Hastings Markham is depicted at least 3 times. An extremely rare photograph is included, presenting Alexander Karatheodori, Prince of the autonomous Greek island of Samos & his daughters on HMS Trafalgar

deck. Apart from the very rare images from Burma & Andaman Islands, the current photographic album presents scarce views of Thasos, Kavala, Santorini & Samos. Another highlight photograph is depicting two Cretan Kavass (armed police-officer) from Chania – Crete. Various photo sizes, with at least 35 full page (~30x24cm) photos. Condition: Generally faded, some photographs are removed from mounts, contemp. and later inscriptions to mounts, some spotting and soiling throughout.
