EID CELEBRATIONS WITH IDPS & OUT OF HOME CHILDREN Due to Zarb-e-Azb operation in the North Waziristan against the militants more than 01 Million people (95,000 families) have been registered as displaced persons. Majority of the IDPs migrated from North Waziristan to Bannu City and have been accommodated in educational institutions, rental places and in the homes of their relatives. Boy Scouts are also helping / coordinating with concrend agencies and local administration. Rover Scouts and Scout leaders from Multan (Punjab), Rawalpindi (PIA), Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi and Peshawer (KP) served in the camps alongth with local scouts and leaders of Bannu from 25-29 July, 2014. Gifts to our brothers and sisters,

celebrating Eid outside their homes.

Mr. Ghulam Fakhar ud Din, National

Commissioner Growth of Scouting,

PBSA coordinated and organized the

activities at Bannu with the title “Let us

Smile again” under the umbrella of

Messengers of Peace initiative.

Mr. Rafiq Khattak, Provincial

Commissioner, Khyber Pakhtunkwa, Mr.

Islam ud Din, Provincial Secretary,

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa BSA, Mr.

Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Provincial

Secretary, Punjab BSA attended the

ceremonies / activities on the initiative

of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association.

The Scout Groups visited several

Educational Institutions and the places

where IDPs families were

accommodated. Eid Gift packs

alongwith Relief Goods were provided

to more than 350 families. One of the

mega event was the Eid Gala where

psycho social support was provided to

the children through sports and

scouting activities. Mr. Zahid Mahboob,

Acting Secretary, PBSA represented

National Headquarters, PBSA to

organize activities in coordination with

Provincial Associations.

Briefing on the activities and affairs of

Pakistan Boy Scouts Association was

presented by Mr. Zahid Mahboob,

Acting Secretary, PBSA. Mir Aurangzaib

Commissioner Legal Affairs, PBSA, Prof.

Sajjad Akhtar, Member National

Council, PBSA, Mr. Muhammad Nisar,

Director (PDM), M/o IPC and Mr.

Usman Pasha, Dy. Director Programme,

PBSA were also present.

IFTAR PARTY AT NHQ, PBSA Annual Iftar Party was organized at

National Headquarters, PBSA,

Islamabad on 19th July, 2014. Mr.

Manzoor Hussain Shah organized the

programme. Senior scouts from

Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore &

Multan attended this Iftar. Mr. Rafique

Aslam, former Secretary, PBSA also

attended this gathering. Report on

Scout activities was also presented by

the National Headquarters, PBSA

KHATM UL QURAN AT NHQ, PBSA KHATAM UL QURAAN Ceremony of

Taraveeh was held at National

Headquarters PBSA on 24 July 2014.

Taraveeh Programme was continued during

the Holy month of Ramazan at National

Headquarters.

On the day of Khatm-ul-Quran pray for

country and IDPs was made.

of the year 2014 of Pakistan Boy Scouts

Association has reached back to

Pakistan after serving as an

international camp staff member for

the great Alaska Council of Boy Scouts

of America during June-July 2014.

He was declared a great ambassador

for scouting and for his home country

Pakistan. The Camp Director for the

Denali High Adventure Base and Camp

gorsuch said Mr. Qureshi was a “Master

Teacher”. The Eagle River Camp

Director Said he was “Simply

Awesome”.

CONDOLENCE

The wife of Prof. Anwar Ahmed Zai,

Dy. Chief Commissioner, PBSA has

passed away on 16th July, 2014. We

pray that departed soul may rest in

Heaven and Almighty Allah give

courage to the family to bear their

irreparable loss. (Ameen)
