Presentation of Aix-Marseille University
AMU now boasts modern tools and structures for exploiting the full potential of the research work conducted in its laboratories. Therefore, the Research and Exploitation Department and the Protisvalor Méditerranée subsidiary handles public, private and European contracts, SATT Sud-Est deals with the maturation of inventions and their transfer to the business world, whilst the “Impulse” and “Belle de Mai” business incubators encourage the creation of start-ups. It is anticipated that this innovation will lead to the creation of social value, the creation of jobs for our students and increased regional visibility for the university. Aix-Marseille University has all the attributes required to meet the challenges of innovation: efficient organization, interdisciplinarity and excellent research structures and education provision. If it is successful, this venture will place Aix-Marseille University among the world’s leading universities.
