    1 About This Guide

    TheAITech Trunk Replacement Service Provider Administration Guideis designed to assist ServiceProviders with management of functions for only the AITech Trunk Replacement product. Detailedinstructions for each function can be found both in the guide and in the online help, which is available

    using the Help link on each web page within the portal.

    This guide assumes that the Service Provider already knows how to use the AITech Service ProviderWeb Portal. For information regarding how to use the AITech Service Provider Web Portal, see theService Provider Web Interface Administration Guideavailable upon request.

    2.1 Services

    Use the Servicesmenu item on the Service Provider Resourcesmenu page to display

    services available for Trunk Replacement.

    2.1.1 Display Services

    Use the Service Provider Services page to display the services authorized to your serviceprovider ID by your system provider administrator.

    The Service Provider Services page displays a description of the service, user limits, and thenumber of users that have been allocated the service. As a service provider administrator, youcan assign these services to your groups.

    2.2 GroupsUse the Groups menu item on the Service Provider Profile menu page to:

    List Groups

    Add a Group

    Add a Group with the Group Wizard

    NOTE: It is the responsibility of the service provideradministrator to add the first group with the Group Wizard.Additional groups can be added by the group administrator. Forreference and procedural information to add, modify, and deletegroups after the first group is created, see theAITech Group WebInterface Administration Guide.

    2.2.1 List Groups

    You use the Service Provider Groups page to list the groups on the system as shown in thefollowing figure. On this page you can search for a particular group. From this page, you canadd a group, add a group with a group wizard, or select a group to be modified or deleted.

    The Service Provider Groups page is a list page that contains an advanced search. TheGroup ID, Group Name, and User Limit appear for each group. Depending on the number ofpages of data in a list, list pages allow you to present the data several different ways. You canclick the headings of a column to change the sort order of items in the column, use the inputboxes below the data to specify search criteria, or click the page links, for example, NextorPrevious. The advanced search lets you define specific search criteria to narrow your searchand display a manageable list.

    1) On the Service Provider Profile menu page, click Groups. The Service Provider Groups page appears.

    2) To display the previous page, click OKorCancel.

    2.2.2 Add a Group

    Use the Service Provider Group Addpage to add a group to the service provider. To add agroup, use the Service Provider Group Addpage as follows:

    1) On the Service Provider Profile menu page, click Groups. The Service Provider

    Groups page appears.

    2) Click Add. The Service Provider Group Addpage appears.

    3) Type information specific to the new group. To move between input boxes, use theTAB key on the keyboard or click in the next text box.

    2.2.3 Add a Group with the Group Wizard

    Use the Group Setup: Step 1 of 6 Add a Grouppage to add a group to the system.

    To add a group, display the Group Setup: Step 1 of 6 Add a Grouppage. The Group SetupWizard includes six pages to fully configure a group, a group administrator, and group resources.

    1) On the Service Provider Profile menu page, click Groups. The Service Providers Groups page appears.

    2) Click Add Group Wizard. The Group Setup: Step 1 of 6 Add a Grouppage appears.This is the first page of the Group Setup Wizard.

    4) To save this information and display the next setup page, click Next >. The GroupSetup: Step 2 of 6 Assign Domains page appears. To save the information andreturn to the Service Provider Group page, click Finish. To cancel the Group SetupWizard and return to the Service Provider Group page, click Cancel.

    5) In the Group Available Domains column, select the domains to be assigned to thegroup. You can select some or all of the items from a column. Item names are listed innumerical order. To select several items in sequential order, click the first number, holddown the SHIFT key on the keyboard, and click the last number. To select severalitems, but not in a particular order, click the items while holding down the CTRL key onyour keyboard.

    To move onlyselected domains from one box to the other, click Add >.

    To move allthe domains from one box to the other, click Add All >>.

    Assigned domains appear in the Group Assigned Domains box.

    6) To save this information and display the next setup page, click Next >. The GroupSetup: Step 3 of 6 Add a Group Administratorpage appears. To save the informationand return to the Service Provider Group page, click Finish. To cancel the GroupSetup Wizard and return to the Service Provider Group page, click Cancel.

    7) Type information specific to the new group. To move between text boxes, use the TABkey on the keyboard, or click in the next text box.

    Below is a table that describes the text boxes. Required information for text boxes areindicated with an asterisk (*).

    Displays all languages configured for your system.English is the default. Once you change yourlanguage setting, you must log out and log in for thesettings to take effect.

    8) Click Add. The new administrator appears in the list at the bottom of the Group Setup:Step 3 of 6 Add a Group Administratorpage.

    9) To save this information and display the next setup page, click Next >. The GroupSetup: Step 4 of 6 Authorize Servicespage appears. To save the information andreturn to the Service Provider Group page, click Finish. To cancel the Group SetupWizard and return to the Service Provider Group page, click Cancel.

    Use this page to authorize the use of the service packs and services.

    10) Click Select Allor check individual services to permit the use of services by the group.

    Authorized Service Packs and Services are indicated by a check mark. Checkedservices are available for authorization to a group.

    11) Check the Limited To: box to the right of the service name (where available), and type anumber of services available for assignment for this group.

    Based on the number of licenses purchased, this field can be used to track and limit the

    number of services assigned.

    NOTE: You cannot unauthorize a service if it has been assigned.

    12) To save this information and display the next setup page, click Next >. The GroupSetup: Step 5 of 6 Add Phone Numberspage appears. To save the information andreturn to the Service Provider Group page, click Finish. To cancel the Group SetupWizard and return to the Service Provider Group page, click Cancel.

    13) Click the range to add in theAvailable Range(s) box and then click Add>. You canselect some or all of the items in a column. Items are listed in numerical order. Toselect several items in sequential order, click the first number, hold down theSHIFT key on the keyboard, and click the last number. To select several items,

    but not in a particular order, click the items while holding down the CTRL key onthe keyboard. The number or range appears in theAvailable Phone Number(s)box.

    14) Click the phone number or several numbers to assign in theAvailable PhoneNumber(s) box and click Add >. You can select some or all of the items in a column.Items are listed in numerical order. To select several items in sequential order, click thefirst number, hold down the SHIFT key on the keyboard, and click the last number. Toselect several items, but not in a particular order, click the items while holding down theCTRL key on the keyboard.

    To move all the phone numbers from one box to the other, click Add All >>.

    Assigned phone numbers appear in theAssignedbox.

    15) To save this information and display the next setup page, click Next >. The GroupSetup: Step 6 of 6 Add Devices page appears. To save the information and return tothe Service Provider Group page, click Finish. To cancel the Group Setup Wizardand return to the Service Provider Group page, click Cancel.

    17) Click Add. The new device appears in the list at the bottom of the Group Setup: Step 6of 6 Add Devices page. Add all of the devices this group requires.

    18) To save the information and return to the Service Provider Group page, click Finish.

    To cancel the Group Setup Wizard and return to the Service Provider Grouppage,click Cancel.

    1) On the User Profile menu page, click Call Processing Policiesunder the Advancedmenu. The User Call Processing Policiespage appears.

    2) Select Use User Call Processing Policyto use the policy you will define for the user.Select Use Group Call Processing Policyto use the policy defined for the group.

    3) ForForce Use of Uncompressed Codec, select On or Off.

    4) Select Enable Maximum Number of Simultaneous Callsand enter the number of callsin the text box.

    5) Select Enable Maximum Call Time for Answered Callsand enter the number of minutesin the text box.

    6) Select Enable Maximum Call Time for Unanswered Callsand enter the number ofminutes in the text box.

    NOTE: The Force Use of Uncompressed Codec, SimultaneousCall Limiting, Maximum Number of Simultaneous Calls, and CallTime for Answered Calls options do not apply to virtual subscriberservices such as Auto Attendant, Voice Portal, Hunt Group, Call

    Center, and so on.

    7) Save your changes. Click ApplyorOK. Apply saves your changes. OK saves yourchanges and displays the previous page.

    To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancel to display the previous.

    See below for a list of the fields and their descriptions.

    Field Description

    Force Use of Uncompressed Codec Fax machines and modems require the use of a clear channeland an uncompressed Codec. This feature allows anadministrator to force a users device to use an uncompressedCodec on a service provider/enterprise, group, and/or user

    basis.Maximum Number of Simultaneous Calls This feature allows an administrator to specify the maximum

    number of simultaneous calls supported on a serviceprovider/enterprise, group, and/or user basis. If a user exceedsthe maximum number of simultaneous calls allowed onterminations, the calling party is provided Busy treatment. Busytreatment may include Voice Messaging, Call ForwardingBusy, and any other active service assigned to the subscriberwhich is invoked on Busy. If the terminating subscriber has noactive services assigned which trigger on Busy, Busy tone isprovided to the calling party. Note that this feature only countsoriginating and terminating calls for a subscriber. Redirectedcalls are not counted as part of this policy.

    Maximum Call Times for Answered Calls This feature allows an administrator to specify the maximumcall time in minutes for answered calls on a serviceprovider/enterprise, group, and/or user basis. If a user exceeds

    the maximum time on a given call, the call is torn down and anabnormal release is indicated within the Call Data Record.

    Maximum Call Times for Unanswered Calls This feature allows an administrator to specify the maximumcall time in minutes for unanswered calls on a serviceprovider/enterprise, group, and/or user basis. If a user exceedsthe maximum time on a given call, the call is torn down and thecalling party is given reorder tone.

    2.3 Devices

    Use the Devices menu item on the Service Provider Resourcesmenu page to:

    List Devices

    Add Devices Modify Devices

    Delete Devices

    2.3.1 List Devices

    Use the Service Provider Devices page to display devices available to assign to users in allgroups. On this page you can search for a particular device or you can add a device or select adevice to be modified or deleted.

    The Service Provider Devices page allows you to display, modify, and add devices. DeviceType, Available Ports, and Host Name IP Address appear next to the device name on the list.For information and procedures related to group assignments, see theAITech Group Web

    Interface Administration Guide. The list also displays users who are currently assigned a shareddevice. Click Editor any item on the row to display the users profile information.

    The Service Provider Devices page is a list page that allows you to search several differentways. You can click the headings of a column to change the sort order of items in the column,use the input boxes below the data to specify search criteria, or click the page links, for example,NextorPrevious.

    Use the Service Provider Devices Addpage to add a new service provider shared accessdevice.

    2.3.3 Modify Devices

    Use the Service Provider Devices Modifypage to modify a service provider shared accessdevice.

    The Service Provider Devices Modifypage allows you to modify a shared device. Forinformation and procedures related to user profiles containing shared devices, see theAITechEnd-User Web Interface Guide.

    1) On the Service Provider Resourcesmenu page, click Devices. The Service Provider Devicespage appears.

    2) Click Editor any item on the row of the device to edit. The Service Provider DevicesModifypage appears.

    3) Edit the device information. Required information is indicated with an asterisk. Formore information about the device information settings, see sectionAdd Devices.

    4) Save your changes. Click Apply orOK. Apply saves your changes. OK saves yourchanges and displays the previous page.

    To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancelto display the previouspage.

    2.3.4 Delete Devices

    Use the Service Provider Devices Modifypage to delete a shared service provider device fromthe system.

    To delete a service provider shared device, display the Service Provider Devices Modifypage.For information and procedures related to user profiles containing shared devices, see the

    AITech End-User Web Interface Guide.

    2) Click Editon the row for the device to edit or click on any item on the row. The ServiceProvider Devices Modifypage appears.

    3) Click Delete. The Service Provider Devices page appears.

    To exit without saving, select another page or click Cancelto display the previouspage.

    NOTE 1: The delete function cannot be undone. Once you clickDelete, your deletion is final. You can press Cancelbefore youclick Deleteto avoid a deletion.

    NOTE 2: Devices assigned to users can not be deleted.

    2.4 Users

    Use the Usersmenu item on the Service Provider Profile menu page to display all users in allgroups and departments.

    The Service Provider Users page is a list page that contains an advanced search. The Last

    Name, First Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address appear for each user. Depending onthe number of pages of data in a list, list pages allow you to present the data several differentways. You can click the headings of a column to change the sort order of items in the column,use the input boxes below the data to specify search criteria, or click the page links, for example,NextorPrevious. The advanced search lets you define specific search criteria to narrow yoursearch and display a manageable list.

    You can open the profile for any user listed on the Service Provider Users page by clicking thename of the user or the Editlink. For procedures related to user configuration and for enablinguser services, refer to the documentAITech Group Web Interface Administration Guide.

    2.4.1 Select a User

    Use the Service Provider Users page to select a user to configure.

    The Service Provider Users page allows you to select a user to configure. It is a list page thatallows you to search several different ways. You can click the headings of a column to change

    the sort order of items in the column, use the input boxes below the data to specify searchcriteria, or click the page links, for example, Next orPrevious.

    1) On yourHome page, in the Options list, click Profile. The Service Provider Profilemenu page appears.

    2) Click Users. The Service Provider Users page appears.

    3) Click Edit or any item in the row of the group to configure. The User Profile menupage appears.

    2.5 Trunking Call Capacity

    The Service Provider Trunking Call Capacitypage displays the maximum number ofsimultaneous calls available to distribute to groups for Trunking Groups.

    When a call originates on the trunk group, the service will check whether the capacity of the

    trunk group is reached. If so, the calling party is provided with busy processing by AITech;otherwise the call is allowed to proceed.

    2.6.1 List Call Capacity Groups

    Use the Group Call Capacitypage to list or delete call capacity groups for a specific group.

    The Group Call Capacitypage allows you to display or delete call capacity groups for aspecific group. This service allows a limit of active incoming and outgoing phone calls to be set

    for a group. Once the maximum number of calls has been reached, no more calls can bereceived. The caller hears a network busy tone. This limitation does not include calls madewithin the same business group.

    Group Names and the Maximum Active Calls appear along with the maximum number of activecalls allowed for each group.

    2.6.2 Add Call Capacity Groups

    Use the Group Call Capacity Addpage to define call capacity groups for a specific businessgroup.

    The Group Call Capacity Addpage contains an advanced search. You can search for users

    by Last Name, First Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address. The advanced search lets youdefine specific search criteria to narrow your search and display a manageable list. For moreinformation on defining search criteria, see section.

    1) On the Group Services menu page, click CallCapacity. The Group Call Capacitypage appears s.

    2) Click Add. The Group Call Capacity Addpage appears.3) Type the group name.

    4) In the Maximum Active Calls Allowedtext box, type the maximum active number ofcalls.

    5) Type the maximum number of incoming active calls. This number cannot exceed thevalue present in the Maximum Active Calls Allowedinput box.

    6) Type the maximum number of outgoing active calls. This number cannot exceed thevalue present in the Maximum Active Calls Allowedinput box.

    7) Check the Default Group, new users will be added to this groupcheck box to includenew users in this call capacity group.

    8) Click the users name to add in theAvailable Usersbox and then click Add >. Thename appears in the Assigned Users box. You can select some or all of the items in acolumn. Item names are listed in alphabetical order. To select several items insequential order, click the first number, hold down the SHIFT key on the keyboard, andclick the last number. To select several items, but not in a particular order, click thenames while holding down the CTRL key on the keyboard.

    To move all the users names from one box to the other, click Add All >>.

    Assigned users appear in theAssigned Users box.

    NOTE: A user is not allowed to be in more than one call capacitygroup.

    9) To save your changes and display the previous page, click OK.

    Use the Group Call Capacity Modifypage to modify or delete a call capacity group for aspecific business group.

    The Group Call Capacity Modifypage allows you to modify the assigned users or the

    maximum number of incoming and outgoing calls allowed within a call capacity group.

    The Group Call Capacity Modifypage contains an advanced search. You can search forusers by Last Name, First Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address. The advanced searchlets you define specific search criteria to narrow your search and display a manageable list.

    2.6.5 Create Emergency Zones

    Use the Group Emergency Zonespage to activate emergency zones within a specific group.

    The Group Emergency Zonespage allows you to activate emergency zones within a specificgroup. Emergency Zones reject all calls or emergency calls for a mobile SIP user when they are

    outside of their home zone.

    WARNING: Ensure that a home zone is defined with theEmergency Zones feature turned on. Otherwise, no calls areaccepted within the group.

    1) On the Group Services menu page, click EmergencyZones. The Group Emergency Zones page appears.

    2) Click Emergency Zones On.

    WARNING: Ensure that a home zone is defined with theEmergency Zones feature turned on. Otherwise, no calls areaccepted within the group.

    3) Click Reject all registrations and outgoing call originations from outside of the homezone to prohibit all calls from outside of the home zone.

    Or,

    Click Reject emergency call originations from outside of the home zoneto prohibitemergency calls from outside the home zone.

    4) Check When an emergency call is made, send e-mail to: check box and type an e-mailaddress to send an e-mail upon arrival of an emergency call to the home zone.

    5) Save your changes. Click ApplyorOK. Apply saves your changes. OK saves yourchanges and displays the previous page.

    2.6.6 Define a Home Zone for Emergency Zones

    Use the Group Emergency Zones Addpage to define a home zone to be used in conjunctionwithin emergency zones for a specific group.

    WARNING: Ensure that a home zone is defined with theEmergency Zones feature turned on. Otherwise, no calls will beaccepted within the group.

    3) Click IP Address and type the IP address to add to the home zone. The IP addressmust have four octets separated by periods.

    NOTE: Wildcards (*) are permitted for fourth octet. An asterisk(*) can be used to represent all numbers within the 0 to 255

    range. A question mark (?) can be used to represent any singledigit in the 0 to 9 range.

    4) Click IP Address Range and type the IP address range to add to the home zone.

    5) To save your changes and display the previous page, click OK.
