We have finished biggest reconstruction of Polish AIS system since 2010.

We have: replaced whole IT hardware, replaced firmware (internal software) in all

our base stations replaced blade server machine on which

works main AIS related servers

We have: implemented new virtualization software:

VMware vSphere 6.5 to provide high availability

implemented new 3 regional servers our new servers work with Windows Server

2019 operating system we have checked and improved antenna

We have: replaced emergency power supplies to new

ones implemented new network managing

software from SAAB TransponderTech upgraded our own network monitoring

Last year we have informedabout new base station in Elblag

Small traffic but not easy route. New waterway is expected.

Poland is planning to build artifical channel across penisula to get unrestricted

access to port of Elblag. Public tender is ongoing.

Could you please share your countries experience concerning AIS data buffering and retransmission issue?

Is it planned to add new functionality into proxy software?
