Aircraft MaintenanceThe Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice is an individual still learning the job, and is required to sit for all requisite qualifying knowledge and practical tests and examinations, and presents himself/herself for evaluation by CAAS examiners or appointed interviewers upon completion of the apprenticeship for confirmation as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
On the job, he performs aircraft maintenance and other tasks under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. He also engages in continuous training on troubleshooting of aircraft components and systems appropriate to his specialisation.

Non-Destructive Testing (Level 2):He performs visual inspection and non-destructive testing of welds, forgings, casting and machined parts in accordance with company procedures, customers’ requirements and other contractual documents and maintains accurate records of all inspection activities.
