Congratulations on your purchase of a Fujitsu LIFEBOOK® notebook computer, certified by Sprint. Verifying/Accessing Sierra AirCard® Watcher™ Utility The easiest way to connect your WWAN broadband device is by using the Sierra AirCard Watcher utility. In some operating systems, executing the Fujitsu ClickMe! tool installs several applications and drivers, including the Sierra AirCard Watcher utility. In other operating systems, however, it is necessary to download Sierra AirCard Watcher from the web. (This is also the case if you should decide in the future that you would like to re-install the utility. Backup copies for the Sierra AirCard Watcher utility can be downloaded from the Fujitsu support site for all operating systems). Instructions for both methods are described below. Accessing Sierra AirCard Watcher Be sure you have run the ClickMe! Utility. The Sierra AirCard Watcher utility is automatically installed when you exe- cute ClickMe. (If you would like to re-install the utility in the future, backup copies can be downloaded from the Fujitsu Support website.) During the initial startup of your system, you were given the option of executing the installation of several applica- tions and utilities. If you chose to [Execute] at that time, then the Click Me! tool has already been run. If you chose not to [Execute], you must now double-click on the Click Me! icon on your desktop to install the related applications and drivers. After Click Me! has been installed, the Sierra AirCard Watcher icon will appear on your desktop. Note that the first time you click on the icon, you will be prompted to accept the license agreement. Click [Accept] to proceed. Verifying the Correct AirCard Watcher Build Number Before activating your wireless device, you must first verify that the correct version of AirCard Watcher is installed. Open the AirCard Watcher utility, then select Menu -> About. The build number is shown at the top left corner. If your version of the AirCard Watcher utility is lower than build number 3191, you will need to uninstall it before installing the new build. To do so, perform the following steps: 1. Select Start -> Control Panel. Select Uninstall a Program or Add or Remove Programs (depending upon your operating system). 2. Select Sierra Wireless AirCard Watcher from the list, then uninstall it. Once it has been uninstalled, proceed to “Downloading the AirCard Watcher utility” below. Downloading the AirCard Watcher Utility To obtain the newest version of the AirCard Watcher utility, you must download it from the Fujitsu Support web site before you can run it. 1. Go to http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/support.do?srch=DOWNLOADS. Select your Product, Series, and Model, then select the AirCard Watcher utility. 2. Download the utility and save it to a location on your system, then double-click on it to install the utility. When asked if you want to proceed, click [Yes] to continue. 3. When the AirCard Watcher Installer window appears, select your language then click [Next]. 4. On the license agreement window, click [Accept] to continue. 5. Select the location at which you want to install the program. By default, it selects the C:\Program Files directory. Click [Install]. 6. When the program finishes installing, click [Finish]. The AirCard Watcher icon appears on your desktop. Connecting Integrated Wireless Broadband using Sierra AirCard® Watcher™ THE GPS OPTION IN SIERRA AIRCARD WATCHER ONLY PROVIDES COORDINATES.
