GCAA DG Directive 01-15: “All heliport, helideck and aerodrome operators and organisations, are required to register for either a “Certificate” or “Landing Area Acceptance” with the GCAA.”

Implementation timeframe: • From 1st January 2015 new construction and new operations shall conform

to the published CAAP 70, CAAP 71 and CAAP 72. • From 8th January 2015, existing heliports, helidecks and aircraft landing

areas are required to be compliant with regulation by 1st of January 2018.

UAE GENERAL CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY HELIPAD REGULATIONS

Air Synapsis provides helipad design, Landing Area Acceptance and Certification support of existing or new helipads according the the UAE GCAA regulation effective since January 2015.

Scope of services: • Helipad structural design. • TLOF and Safety Area dimensions & markings • Approach & takeoff and climb surfaces calculations • Lighting requirements and layout. • Firefighting requirements. (NFPA418)• Safety Management, Emergency Response & Risk

Assessment. • Publication of an abbreviated heliport manual. • Helipad Project report with CAD drawings.• Helipad inspection and GCAA application.
