DON’T: wash kitchen mats or rugs outside, in the alley, on the sidewalk or in the street.

DO: wash mats indoors, near the kitchen floor drain, in the mop sink or have them professionally laundered.

Avoid runoff pollution including chemicals, cleaning solvents, mop water, oil, grease and food particles, by not letting them spill in city streets.
