Con il termine “Briccola” si identificano i pali in rovere

piantati sul fondale marino utili per segnalare ai

veneziani il percorso navigabile e consentire gli

ormeggi. Da oltre cinquecento anni sono il simbolo del

paesaggio lagunare.

La Briccole hanno una vita avventurosa in quanto

nascono e crescono nelle foreste di querce europee e

poi trascorrono una decina d’anni nella laguna di

Venezia. Periodicamente il Magistrato alle Acque ne

ordina la sostituzione per la corrosione che subiscono

dalle maree. In esse trovano il loro habitat naturale dei

molluschi marini chiamati “Teredine” che, insediatesi

al loro interno, si nutrono del legno e creano originali

geometrie di orifizi e buchi che diventano la

particolarità di questo prodotto una volta lavorato.

Il nostro obiettivo è far proseguire la vita di questo

legno nelle vostre case sotto forma di tavoli unici.

Superfici permeate di storia, atmosfere magiche, albe

e tramonti dei quali il legno si è “impregnato” nel corso

degli anni in una delle città più belle del mondo,

Venezia. Grazie alla maestria artigianale la Briccola

viene sapientemente pulita, privata dei chiodi,

essiccata e tagliata preservando il più possibile

l’unicità di ogni pezzo in linea con la nostra filosofia

aziendale orientata alla ricerca di materiali di recupero

per salvaguardare l’ambiente.

The term "Briccola" identifies oak poles that are

planted on the seabed, used to guide the Venetians by

indicating navigable routes and allow the moorings in

the lagoon. For over five hundred years they have

been the symbol of the lagoon landscape.

The “Briccole” have an adventurous life as they are

born and grow in the forests of European oaks and

then spend a decade in the Venice lagoon.

Periodically, the Water Authority orders the

replacement of these due to corrosion undergoing

tides. They are the natural habitat of marine mollusks

called "shipworm" that settle in them, feed on wood

and create original geometry of orifices and holes that

become the peculiarity of this product once worked.

The goal is to continue the life of this wood in the form

of tables. Surfaces infused with history, magical

atmospheres, sunrises and sunsets of which the wood

is "impregnated" over the years into one of the most

beautiful cities in the world, Venice.

The “Briccola” timber is cleaned and nails removed,

dried and cut as much as possible while preserving the

uniqueness of each piece in line with a philosophy

focused on research of recycled materials to protect

the environment.

Le terme «Briccola" identifie les poteaux en chêne,

plantés sur le fond marin, utilisés à signaler aux

Vénitiens la voie navigable et permettre les amarrages.

Depuis cinq siècles, ils sont le symbole du paysage de

la lagune vénitienne.

Les « Briccole » ont une vie aventureuse : ils naissent

et grandissent dans les forêts de chênes européens et

ensuite passent une décennie dans la lagune de

Venise. Périodiquement, l'Autorité de l'Eau ordonne

leur remplacement à cause de la corrosion subie pour

les marées. Dans ces poteaux, des mollusques marins

appelés "tarets" trouvent leur habitat naturel : ils se

installent en eux, se nourrissent du bois et créent une

géométrie originale des orifices et des trous qui

deviennent la particularité de ce produit une fois

travaillé.

L’objectif est de continuer la vie de ce bois dans les

maisons sous la forme de tables uniques. Surfaces

imprégnées de l'histoire, l'atmosphère magique, levers

et couchers de soleil dont le bois est "infusé" au fil des

ans, dans l’une des plus belles villes du monde, Venise.

Le bois du « Briccola » est nettoyé, privé des clous,

séché et coupé autant que possible tout en préservant

l'unicité de chaque pièce, en ligne avec la philosophie

d'entreprise axée de plus en plus sur la recherche de

matériaux recyclés pour protéger l'environnement.
