The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology program teaches the theories and principles

of the operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning,

and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment. A variety of related

laboratory projects allow students to put into practice

the knowledge and skills gained, preparing them for

skilled service technician positions. Students will

have an opportunity to take nationally

recognized exams, as well as preparatory classes for the Alabama State

Board of Heating and Air Conditioning contractor’s

exam.
