(1)-1 Cauton for water ppe nstallatonConsder the followng when desgnng and nstallng a water ppng system.• Do not use steel ppes as water ppes.- Copper ppes or stanless steel ppes are recommended. If ron ppes are used n the exstng system, do not connect

a new crcut to the old one. Keep the exstng and new crcuts separate. • Lght ppes are smlar to other ar-condtonng ppes, however, please observe the followng precautons durng

nstallaton.• Before a long period of non use, purge the water out of the pipes and thoroughly let them dry. • Use a closed water crcut. • When usng the unt for coolng, add brne to the crculatng water to prevent t from freezng. • When nstalled n a low-ambent temperature envronment, keep the water crculatng at all tmes. If that s not

possble, purge the water out of the ppes completely. • Do not use the water used for ths unt for drnkng or food manufacturng.• When the ambient temperature is 0 ˚C or lower during stop operation, keep the water circulating at all times, or

purge the water out of the ppes completely.

(4) Precautons durng nstallaton• Use the reverse-return method to nsure proper ppe resstance to each unt.• To nsure easy mantenance, nspecton, and replacement of the unt, use a proper jont, valve, etc. on the water

ntake and outlet port. In addton, be sure to nstall a straner on the water ntake ppe. (In order to mantan the heat source unt, a straner on the crculatng water nlet s necessary.)

* An example of the heat source unt nstallaton s shown n the dagram below.• Install a sutable ar vent on the water ppe. After sendng water through the ppe, be sure to vent the excess ar.• Compressed water may form n the low-temperature sectons of heat source unt. Use a dranage ppe connected to

the dran valve at the base of the unt to dran the water.• Install a back flow-prevention valve on the pump and a flexible joint to prevent excess vibration.• Use a sleeve to protect the ppes where they go through a wall.• Use metal fittings to secure the pipes, and install them so that they have maximum protection against breakage and

bendng.• Do not confuse the water ntake and outlet valves.• This unit doesn’t have any heater to prevent freezing within tubes. When the water flow is stopped on low ambient,

take out the water from tubes.• The unused knockout holes should be closed and the openng of refrgerant ppes, water ppes, power source and

transmission wires should be filled with putty and so on to prevent from rain. (field construction)• Wrap some sealng tape around the screw part to prevent water leakage. • Hold the ppe on the unt sde n place wth a spanner when nstallng the ppes or straner. Tghten screws to a torque

of 50 N.m. • Water ppes can get very hot, dependng on the preset temperature. Wrap the water ppes wth nsulatng materals

to prevent burns. • On the PWFY-P200VM-E-AU model, install the expansion joint (accessory) at the inlet after installing the strainer,

and outlet.

(7) Water processng and water qualty controlTo preserve water qualty, use the closed type of coolng tower for unt. When the crculatng water qualty s poor, the water heat exchanger can develop scales, leadng to a reducton n heat-exchange power and possble corroson of the heat exchanger. Please pay careful attenton to water processng and water qualty control when nstallng the water crculaton system.• Removal of foregn objects or mpurtes wthn the ppes. Durng nstallaton, be careful that foregn objects, such as weldng fragments, sealant partcles, or rust, do not enter

the ppes.• Water Qualty Processng

a) Dependng on the qualty of the cold-temperature water used n the ar-condtoner, the copper ppng of the heat exchanger may become corroded. We recommend regular water qualty processng.Cold water crculaton systems usng open heat storage tanks are partcularly prone to corroson. When usng an open-type heat storage tank, nstall a water-to-water heat exchanger, and use a closed-loop crcut on the ar condtoner sde. If a water supply tank s nstalled, keep contact wth ar to a mnmum, and keep the level of dssolved oxygen n the water no hgher than 1mg/lter.

b) Water qualty standard

Reference : Gudelne of Water Qualty for Refrgeraton and Ar Condtonng Equpment. (JRA GL02E-1994)c) Please consult wth a water qualty control specalst about water qualty control methods and water qualty

calculatons before usng ant-corrosve solutons for water qualty management.d) When replacng a prevously nstalled ar condtonng devce (even when only the heat exchanger s beng

replaced), first conduct a water quality analysis and check for possible corrosion. Corroson can occur n cold-water systems even f there has been no pror sgns of corroson. If the water quality level has dropped, please adjust water quality sufficiently before replacing the unit. The maximum amount of circulating water in the water pipe is 100L. Make sure that this amount is not exceeded.
