Dance club The Dance Club started on the 15th of April after school on a Friday. We interviewed Sarah T and she said, “I really liked Dance Club. Gary the instructor was very funny and I would like to do it again!”

Football Club I spoke to some people who went to the

    football club:

Oliver said, “I liked it. We played games

and made new friends. The best bits were

playing games and matches. One game was

    Score You’re In.”

William said, “I loved it, we played a game

called Jail Break and there were two teams

of people and there was one goalkeeper, if

you missed you went to jail. If someone on

your team scored you would be released!”

    “Another game was King of the Ring;

everyone has a ball. Connor the teacher

says something like ‘bananas’ and you are

allowed to tackle each other’s ball out of

the ring. The winners of the games were

made the captains of the matches. I was

    captain once.”

I asked Oscar what he did and if he

enjoyed it: he replied. “I played with a

football and a pitch. I liked it.”

It sounds like it was an excellent club and

    everyone enjoyed it.

On Wednesday the 13th of April 2016,

Class 4 went to a quickstick Hockey

competition at Thirsk School. 6 people

from year 5 & 6 volunteered to take part.

Katie, who went to the competition said,

“It was really fun and the weather was

    great.”

Charlie, who also went to the

    competition said, “Everyone did really

well and I’m really proud of myself

because I got player of the match.”

Class 4 did really well and everyone tried

their hardest. We wonder if any one of

them will make it to a professional team?

    Super powerful pedal

On the 18th April 2016 to the 29th April,

the whole school took part in the

    Sainsbury’s big pedal.

During the 2 weeks of the big pedal, the

lowest amount of people to come on

bikes and scooters was 0 people, the

highest amount of people to go on bikes

and scooters was 22% of the school! Let’s

hope that next year we get some more

enthusiastic people to go on bikes and

    scooters.

Well done for those people who came on

    bikes and scooters to school.
