What is AFPAAS
The U.S. Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment
System (AFPAAS) standardizes a method for the Air Force to
account, assess, manage, and monitor the recovery process for
airmen and their families affected and/or scattered by a wide-
spread catastrophic event.
The AFPAAS provides valuable information to all levels of the Air
Force chain of command, allowing commanders to make
strategic decisions which facilitate a return to stability.

Data Source - Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC):
Periodic refreshes every 48 hours starting July 10
DOD event baseline data for affected personnel:
Airman and family data can be updated/maintained in
AFPAAS (for event purposes)
Data updates are not pushed back to DMDC
If an Airman’s default information isn’t correct, AFPAAS
updates will fix the short term, but the data source will need
to be fixed afterwards
Travel-related systems do not feed into AFPAAS, but units
can pull rosters to assist with accountability during events
Where Does AFPAAS
