Gospel Meditation In today’s Gospel, Jesus is concerned with the heart of the disciple. The heart is related to the character and will of the person. What is the soil of your heart like? Is it hard and rocky, or fertile and rich? Does it allow God’s word to take root deeply or does it turn away God's word in the face of difficulty? Isaiah reminds us that God’s word is faithful. It is like a gentle life-giving rain that will make the soil of our hearts rich and fertile. Will we receive God's word to be transformed?

15th Sunday in Ordinary Time
This Sunday we hear the familiar story of the sower and the seed.
In the end this parable is about abundance, God makes the seed
bear fruit many times over. Mother Teresa once said “If you cannot
feed 100 people, feed just one.” If we are fruitful recipients of the
Word of God, how much will God multiply that good in the world?
How does God’s word move us to share abundantly through a sim-
ple gesture of offering a package of crackers to the homeless or
bringing food to a local pantry?
WORLD OF LIFE “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many
things. There is need of only one thing, Mary has chosen the better
part…”-Luke 10:41-42
Marta, Marta, muchas cosas te preocupan y te inquietan, siendo
asi que una sola es necesaria. Maria escogio la mejor parte….”
-Lucas 10,41-42
