About AIESEC Norway

This is a short description of the national organization

AIESEC Norway is one of the founding countries of AIESEC, together with Belgium, Denmark, Finland,

France, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Back in 1948, the students from these 7 countries felt the need for a change

in the world they were living in. The European students were lacking the practical business experience necessary for

the rebuilding of their devastated countries. And just as important, the students then believed that they were charged

with a responsibility to increase international understanding and cooperation. After years without success, the

students of Europe hoped to create international friendships once again. And from this need of change AIESEC was

born in 1948, in Stockholm, Sweden

AIESEC Norway today

Today, after 63 years, AIESEC Norway is experiencing a rapid growth and expansion. Our organization is currently

present in 3 major cities of Norway: Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim.

Our 4 Local Committees, AIESEC UIO, AIESEC BI, AIESEC Trondheim and AIESEC NHH, are lead by 60 young

students. Each year we provide qualitative experiences for our members and for the students of Norway through our

leadership and exchange programs.

By developing and running exchange related projects, our

members enable the young people of Norway to develop their

skills and also have a positive impact in the society.

In the same time, we are offering the companies of Norway the

opportunity to develop their businesses by receiving high

qualitative interns from all over the world.

Our exchange program changed over 100 lives of young

people in Norway and all around the world in 2010 and this

year our ambition is to increase our impact and deliver more

than 300 exchange opportunities.

Our projects

GCDP projects

Incoming GCDP Active Summer The Active Summer project is a project developed by AIESEC aimed to give positive

impact in the Norwegian society. AIESEC Norway and Hero Norge are arranging

summer camps across the country with activities for the youth and children connected

to Hero Norge's asylum centers.

Outgoing GCDP Impact Asia & Africa The aim of the project is to offer a meaningful summer abroad for Norwegian students.

Candidates for the program are given the possibility to work voluntarily on local

development issues in China, Indonesia, Kenya and Egypt.

Choose 2 The aim of this project is to provide a more complete

international experience for Norwegian students who choose

to go on academic exchange through their university.

AIESEC provides the students with volunteer opportunities in

the countries they will study in order for them to gain a local

network and a practical work experience in addition to their

academic exchange.

Your Impact, Africa In collaboration with Fredskorpset, AIESEC organizes a 5

month volunteer program to Kenya, Mozambique and

Uganda. The aim of the project is to give Norwegian students

a possibility for personal development and growth through

working on local development issues in a different country

based on their educational background and competencies

within areas such as cultural understanding, English and

presentation skills.
