Dear Applicant,
Being in the Member Committee in AIESEC Kenya these past 6
months of the term 12-13 has given me the most satisfaction
throughout my AIESEC Experience. Moreover being MCP elect has
been the highlight of my experience. The International network, The
National Perspective and the Challenging working environment
has pushed me further in developing myself both professionally and
on a personal level!

AIESEC KENYA
General Information Structure of MC 2013-2014
The AIESEC Kenya Member Committee is based in Nairobi. Below is the ideal structure of the MC 13-14 of 7 including the MCP. However, this may change to 6 once applicants have been assessed during the review process and selection panel.
Please note the core MC team is 9 of individuals working fulltime. NTT and NST positions will be filled once the team of 9 fulltime individuals has been formed.
Compensation and Benefitss
MCP and MCVP role is a full time employee of AIESEC Kenya. The VP is paid a monthly salary of 10,000 Ksh (approximately 90 EUROS).
Official travel of AIESEC in Kenya (coaching, marketing and conference travel), according to national priorities and budget available, are covered by the MC Budget. Personal travel and moving expenses to Nairobi are not covered.
Other compensations and benefits will be agreed upon by the MC based on priorities and availability
of funds.

General Profile of MCVP
While the MC of AIESEC in Kenya’s can come from diverse backgrounds and environments, several general characteristics, skills and knowledge is expected.
The member(s) applying for these positions are expected to posses certain skills, competencies and knowledge in order to successfully carry out the role they are applying for.
Intellectual and psychological
An ideal aspiring MC should have some key personality traits; for example active learning, systematic and critical thinking, creativity, adaptability to change, capacity of analysis, patience, listening and inclusiveness, emotional intelligence, management team skills.
Society knowledge
Good knowledge of world issues and national systems, the current trends and issues facing society as well as understanding cultural issues are vital in order to sufficiently understand and represent AIESEC Kenya. Practical understanding of management theories (e.g. learning organization, self-organizing systems) is also necessary.
AIESEC understanding
Extensive understanding of the association is required in order to apply for the mentioned positions. An understanding of our vision, values, identity, current five year ambition, country development and systems is something we will look for in all candidates. Candidates are also expected to understand AIESEC Kenya’s current place as well as potential in the global association.

NOTE: The Member Committee 2012-2013 will not endorse any candidates for
positions within AIESEC in Kenya.
5. Executive Summary 6. Signed release
a. A letter stating that you agree to your documents being made
available both on myaiesec.net prior to the election, and to the delegates during
the election in March
b. Letter must be signed by you.

Process steps
Each candidate will go through the following selection process:
1. Send the full application package before deadline.
2. Stakeholders Panel Interview with Alumni and BoA of AIESEC Kenya.
3. Receive Panel Interview Results. If you pass you proceed to the next stage.
4. Personality test
5. Answer any question that you will have in the Q&A Forum on
myaiesec.net on the days before the election.
6. Attend the election seminar as candidate of MC 2013-14 or be online for
speeches and Q&A in the case that you will be an international candidate.
7. Get the vote of confidence at National election day on 9th March 2013 after your
Speeches and Q&A.
8. Announcement of selected members.
The results of the tests will be reported to the plenary along with the advice of the external. The report will also be sent out to the candidates.
Stakeholders Panel Interview will have a report signed by all stakeholders with the evaluation results. The
report will be sent to the candidates and the plenary.
