Membership Report 2014-2015 Council Electronic Payments NOS Activities for P&E

Electronic Payments (1/4)

• Pros Electronic payments helped to minimize cash on hand. This

is very good for safety/security concerns. Electronic payments also allowed the Treasurer to NOT have

to be present at the check-in table during the dinner and before the lecture. However, SOMEONE still had to be there to hand out nametags and check people in for dinner. In the case with Hallion, that person was an OAI employee.

Electronic payments with a deadline helped minimize the “no-show” situation where people RSVP but don’t show up. This costs NOS money in food ordered but not paid for.

Century Federal Credit Union does work with PayPal13



• Cons Implementation: It is believed but not confirmed yet that our

current section website will not support electronic payments. Long term we would probably require a new website.

Activities/Budget Planning for JUN2014-SEP2014

• AIAA fiscal year starts 10/1 and ends 9/30.

• AIAA distributes CAT I rebates about 10/1.
