The Skandi Amazonas is a new generation high powered anchor handling vessel designed for field installation operations across a wide range of water depths and environmental conditions.

CapabilitiesThe Skandi Amazonas is designed with an aim to focus on the future needs for safe operations and stability requirements. The vessel is outfitted with the latest equipment within safe AHTS operations, such as the largest AHTS winches, cargo-rail cranes with manipulators and new systems for handling rig anchors at stern. In order to obtain flexible and optimised utilization of the machinery, the vessel has a hybrid propulsion system, com-bining a well proven conventional diesel engine, direct driven reduction gearboxes and CP propellers with a diesel electric system.
