Welcome.

This is your handy ‘How To’ guide to the RTA’s renewal services. It’s the fast track to renewing your vehicle registration and driver’s license and for paying fines. It will also show you where to obtain eCertificates that relate to vehicle registration. And you can do it all online, or by calling our contact center on 800 90 90.

We hope you’ll find it much quicker and more convenient; all from the comfort of your own home or office.

New User Registration / Login

Step 2 Click ‘New User’

Step 4 Enter your personal/company information in all mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*)

a) Your email ID (this is your email address) will be your login user name (please note that this cannot be changed in the future so this will need to be a permanent email address).

b) An email notification will be sent to you with your password.

Step 5 Login to the RTA home page (upper right corner) with your user name and password

Step 3 Individual car users click on ‘Register as an Individual’ Bulk car users click on ‘Register as a Company’

You are now registered as a user and your vehicle is linked to our system

• If this is your first time online, you will automatically be redirected to the Licensing Services Registration page.

Click on ‘Licensing Online Services’ Step 6

(If you don’t want to edit your account, click on ‘e-Services’ to get to this page).

Prerequisites for renewal:

1. Insurance (valid for one year)

2. Vehicle testing required for vehicles over 3 years old

Step 7 Confirm insurance and vehicle test information

Step 6 Accept the terms and conditions

You will be directed to an information page showing what is required to successfully renew your license.

You will need an eye test which will automatically be sent to the RTA.

Step 1 Click on ‘My License’ and view license details

Step 2 Click on ‘License Renewal’

You will be directed to an information page showing what is required to successfully renew your license.

Step 3 Accept the terms and conditions

• (If you have not yet had your eyes tested click on ‘Do not have an eye test yet?’ to get a list of the RTA’s verified eye test centers.)

• Go to any of these centers for your eye test and once completed, they will automatically update your information online.

Vehicle eCertificates: Check, Purchase and Validate

A range of RTA certificates, such as Vehicle Ownership Certificates for single and multiple car owners are now available online or through the RTA Contact Center. To obtain a certificate online, select the vehicle, then select “General Services”.
