Advantages: 1. Nearly tissue equivalent over the radiation energy range above about 100
keV of photon energy.
2. Usefulness over a wide dose range 10-105 Gy.
3. Low fading in standard conditions.
4. Zero (or negligible) background.
5. Small sample size.
6. Reproducible.
7. Reasonable inter-batch uniformity.
Disadvantages: 1. Spectrum is attributed to not less than 3 radicals
2. Complex-time dependence.
