AHHRA NEWSLETTER Jan-March 2019 Once more, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as President for AHHRA for a second term. Your confidence in my abilities and partnership to lead this organization means a great deal to me and speaks volumes to the opportunities that AHHRA provides to its members. I have had the ability to network and build such rewarding friendships with so many of you on this journey. I remain hopeful that with your continued commitment, we can make AHHRA stronger. Last year, we had quite a successful year! We were able to reconnect with a number of our past presidents to assist us in building our membership and with the partnership of Montefiore Collaborative team we produced a fantastic video that speaks to “What Matters to Me.” We also leveraged our partnership with Sibson Consulting and hosted a number of educational webinars - all of which were well attended. We were fortunate to engage Press Ganey who enlightened us about HR‘s Role in the Patient Experience. In addition, we heard through presentations about some of the exciting and rewarding initiatives our colleagues are working on at their institutions. We continue to partner with Barbara Hoey, Esq. to keep us abreast of all the changes in HR Legislation and insights on how to effectively apply some of these regulations. We heard from our members that they enjoy the intimacy of AHHRA and want to partner in helping us to succeed. We also listened to your feedback regarding workshops and interactive learning sessions, which we will be incorporating in our learning this year. We are gaining better understanding of the needs of our millennials by involving them on our executive board. This year, we are pleased to have a great representation of this group on the executive board that will assist in collaborating and advancing the organization. To our sponsors, we are indebted to your contributions and trust in AHHRA. Thank you to our past executive board members for your continued commitment to AHHRA and for offering your service. AHHRA NEWSLETTER Jan-March 2019

Once more, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as President for

AHHRA for a second term. Your confidence in my abilities and

partnership to lead this organization means a great deal to me and

speaks volumes to the opportunities that AHHRA provides to its

members. I have had the ability to network and build such rewarding

friendships with so many of you on this journey. I remain hopeful that

with your continued commitment, we can make AHHRA stronger.

Last year, we had quite a successful year! We were able to reconnect

with a number of our past presidents to assist us in building our

membership and with the partnership of Montefiore Collaborative team

we produced a fantastic video that speaks to “What Matters to Me.”

We also leveraged our partnership with Sibson Consulting and hosted a

number of educational webinars - all of which were well attended. We

were fortunate to engage Press Ganey who enlightened us about HR‘s

Role in the Patient Experience. In addition, we heard through

presentations about some of the exciting and rewarding initiatives our

colleagues are working on at their institutions.

We continue to partner with Barbara Hoey, Esq. to keep us abreast of all

the changes in HR Legislation and insights on how to effectively apply

some of these regulations.

We heard from our members that they enjoy the intimacy of AHHRA and

want to partner in helping us to succeed. We also listened to your

feedback regarding workshops and interactive learning sessions, which

we will be incorporating in our learning this year.

We are gaining better understanding of the needs of our millennials by

involving them on our executive board. This year, we are pleased to

have a great representation of this group on the executive board that

will assist in collaborating and advancing the organization.

To our sponsors, we are indebted to your contributions and trust in
