What’s the thing you spring out of bed for, the first thing in the morning?What’s the thing that makes your smile light up? What’s the thing that has youjumping for joy? What’s the thing you do, that when you do it, you lose trackof time?

These are questions to help remind you about the quality of enthusiasm andhow important it is in doing or creating anything. And, if you have none of theabove experiences – no better time than right now to begin to bring someenthusiasm back into your life!

Enthusiasm is born of an intense and eager feeling of YES – a feeling ofenjoyment. Enthusiasm has fire – passion – zest – gusto! And as Enthusiasmgrows, it has a kind of energy that doesn’t stall or quit. It helps propel forwardwhatever is being created or being done as though that thing takes on a life ofits own.

And then, as Enthusiasm continues developing and going forward – it expressesmore willingness, commitment and devotion. And before you know it, prestochange-o, the thing is done!

Let’s invite more Enthusiasm back into our lives to help us achieve andaccomplish our goals!

And, for more effectiveness, take a few deep breaths, drop in to the comfortstate and imagine or visualize yourself with the quality of Enthusiasm. Use thenano – a short imagery – that becomes more solid in reality because we’vebrought the subconscious on board! When complete, reinforce at 0 and countyourself out from 1-5 eyes open wide awake and alert.

Imagination and the Subconscious

The power of your imagination is enormous. Used in a positive way, it becomesthe canvas on which you paint to actualize your dreams come true. Once theability is acquired to picture, imagine, sense in any way, or even feel your goals,dreams, and ambitions in the mind, four elements are necessary to generate thepower to bring them into realization.

DESIRE – The want must be real and deep and permanent.

BELIEF – It is important to believe that the desired achievement is possible, do-able.

EXPECTATION – It is vital to expect success, considering it a foregoneconclusion.

DEMAND – The final requirement is self-demand, a personal requirement thatthose things necessary to success will be accomplished.

These four elements must be present in both the conscious and subconscious.An effective way to build a bridge between your conscious and subconscious,is with an altered state. Through a few minutes each day of Imagery, you canget the conscious and subconscious going in the same direction — towardachieving your goals. Making the subconscious connection is a powerful tool!Impressing new positive images upon the subconscious each day – images thatencourage new positive actions and emotions – can create a fertile ground forbearing the fruit you desire. By building up the subconscious with positives –you can, in effect, override the old negatives – and be well on the way towardachieving your goals.

LAW OF DECISIONGet Comfortable with Making Decisions!

The Law of Decision says choice creates a beginning. It is a metaphysicalsummons which allows the flow of possibilities. Everything starts by making thedecision. Allow the choice, which is yours, to be made.

Thinking about decisions as choices is appealing. You have the choice. It is ablessing! Let’s get used to it as a positive! In fact, let’s begin to get darn rightcomfortable with our ability to choose and make decisions. Let’s face the factthat since everything starts with a decision, it’s a natural part of creating. It’snatural to you.

Many times, it seems easy to put off making a decision for fear of making amistake. But, then, there comes the agony of indecision. Then it all becomesvery hard. To make your choice, to decide, is actually freedom. The door is wideopen and flow happens. With ease and comfort you go forward because youhave decided. And while each decision you make, usually creates a whole seriesof other decisions, well let’s say, the more the merrier! It becomes clear then,that there really can be no mistakes, it’s just a matter of making anotherdecision!

So, with patience and more comfort with the process of decision making, wemust prevail. To accomplish anything, decisions are to be made. Gettingcomfortable with making decisions, allows the process of accomplishment toflow more easily. And, you wouldn’t give up your ability to choose, would you?

As we embrace it, rather than fight it, we can get comfortable with this naturalprocess of deciding. Before your know it, your confidence increases as well,because the more decisions you make, the more confident you become. And,the more confident you become, the more decisions you make. Therefore, letthe flow of possibilities begin, make the choice and create – evoke the Law ofDecision!

LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT

While there are many ways in which we can apply the Metaphysical Law ofCause and Effect, which briefly stated, is that every action has a correspondingreaction, the power of this law definitely comes to life when we understand itsuse in our practice of Hypnotherapy. It is an essential ingredient for success. Itis the law upon which Dr. Kappas based his whole premise of The Mental Bank.

Dr. Kappas said that by doing the Mental Bank, we are making a causation towhich a definite effect will occur. We are using the magic half hour before sleepat night, that potent cosmic mix of conscious and subconscious mind material,to create a positive cause that brings about a positive effect. By writing aboutthe idea during the in between time space reality experience, we are sending amessage to the deeper mind which heightens belief for that idea to becomemade manifest.

In your practice, you make a cause – create an action with words. You sendsuggestions and images to the client based on their conscious desires. Withtheir open availability to receive while in the hypnotic state, these suggestionsand images are impressed upon their subconscious mind. That impression is thefoundation of the effect that they want to experience in their life. Sooner thanlater, from the cause made, clients have an effect – a corresponding reaction –with their life changing positively.

And, if we look at the first most important action that you take, being yourthought, then we know there will be a corresponding reaction, or thing createdby that thought. So, can we be more diligent with how we are thinking?Absolutely! As Dr. Kappas said, “A positive focusing, creates positive results!”

The Mental Bank created by John Kappas

The Mental Bank is a re-scripting process that activates the subconscious mindto respond in a new positive way. Since the subconscious works on expectationand imagination and does not know the difference between fantasy and reality,doing the Mental Bank helps to write a new script for the subconscious tofollow. Here are the key points:

! You will write a new contract.

! Mental Bank Goal is your Double Figure. Mental Bank Balance is your 4Xfigure. Hourly figure is a tenth of your Double Figure. Example:$100,000/$400,000/$100.

! You must have a goal – 1 to 3 goals.

! Value events are things that you do that help you reach your goal. Theseare the things that are difficult for you to do.

! You will pay yourself fantasy dollars for the things that are difficult foryou to do.

! Subtract real income from fantasy dollars.

! Write, As of this date, I have now earned and accumulated in my mental bank. Sign your name to it.

! Happenings are the positive out-of-the-blue experiences that show upunexpectedly yet they seem to relate to your goals.

! Writing affirmations are an investment in yourself that help support youand send a new message to the subconscious. I am available andattainable to attract .

Just Say Yes More Often More Of The Time!

When it comes to getting a hypnotic project done, or creating more room inyour schedule for more clients, or responding easily to a request for speakingabout hypnosis at an organization luncheon – wouldn’t you like to be in thehabit of saying Yes?

When we are in the habit of saying Yes, we are going in a forward motion. Withthe word, the image, the feeling of Yes – we are in the flow – we are open andwe are more able to attract and allow. In the habit of Yes, we are generallymore easily positive, enthusiastic and in a great energy.

In fact, did you ever notices that saying Yes takes less energy than saying No? First of all, when in that Yes place – it takes less muscles in your face to movewhen smiling, happy, and enthused. In that No place – it takes more musclesin your face to move when sad, anxious, or upset. And, the Yes place meansless wrinkles – the No place – more wrinkles. So just moving the muscles inyour face takes less energy with Yes!

And when Yes is happening – that’s all there is to it – it is straight forward andall systems are go. With No, there is often back and forth, back and forth goingon – that internal struggle within – the agony of resisting – it takes up so muchmore emotional energy – which then becomes debilitating.

The good news is – metaphysically – the distance from No to Yes is very shortand evoking the Law of Reversal can instantly make a big difference. Usingnano imagery to imagine turning yourself around quickly helps by getting thesubconscious on board. As you imagine moving from No to Yes in the comfortstate, you can become more comfortable with establishing a Yes habit.

So remember, going forward is a Yes – being stuck is a No – sabotage is a Noand procrastination is a No – dragging feet, holding back, being contrary all areNo. Let’s start developing a habit of Yes, by using the great tool of hypnosis.There’s nothing No about hypnosis – it’s all about Yes – HYPYESIS – and SayYes to Life and Living! Yes - Yes - Yes - Yes - Yes - Yes - Yes!

The Power Hour and the Five Minute Marathon!

So you’ve got that A project and you’ve got some solid time to work on it – butthen there are those other pesky things around that have to get handled, too.How are you going to get it all done?

This calls for the Power Hour and the Five Minute Marathon! Set your timer foran hour to concentrate on the A project. When the timer rings – up you go – setthe timer for five minutes and go do the thing you called pesky. Within the firstminute – your time constraint of five minutes has you working with moreenergy, enthusiasm, and fun – you’ll find you drop that label of pesky and justget stuff done!

The timer rings after five – and then its back to another Power Hour. And onyou go – for as long as you have the time to do this routine – alternating PowerHours and Five Minute Marathons.

Now, for true effectiveness, take a few deep breaths, drop in to the comfortstate and imagine or visualize yourself doing The Power Hour and the FiveMinute Marathon. How To Be The Leader In Your Life!

1. Emotionally support yourself by relying on your Inner Wisdom. Put logicand reason to that for a dynamic blend of Intuitive Common Sense.

2. Vision first, action second.

3. Self-knowledge is above self-importance.

4. Put away the whips and chains because now it’s time for patience,compassion, understanding, and loyalty toward believing in yourself.

5. Your energy-flow works best when directed outward. Where your focusgoes, that’s where the energy flows.

6. Keep your eye on the goal, not on the temporary hills and valleys alongthe way. Always accentuate the Positive.

7. Accept responsibility for finding solutions even if it seems there are none.

8. When problem solving, ask yourself the question; What needs to happenhere in order for the solution to occur?

Motivating Markers

Emo SuggestibleSuggestive Imagery SilentProgressive 5-0 Deep Sleep

As this calming becomes even more comfortable – naturally and normallydrifting even deeper now – somewhere somehow it stirs from deep within – it’sbeen said that to change something – moving from here to there – to really dothe new thing – it’s got to be important – an important reason needs to be –

What if – with that important reason – that important reason becomesmotivating – so a person might be finding it – letting it come forward – thereason or reasons for going for it – for doing this thing – to imagine it allbecoming clearer –

That person then would be letting the deeper mind – receiving – embracing –getting the pictures of what it means – the important reasons – accepting andbecoming comfortable with them – what if that could be so?

Imagining – reasons becoming made known to a person going for theachievement – looking down the road toward the finish line – as though it isbecoming something truly desirable – something that has to be – that mustcome into being – going for it also might mean the results are seeking to berealized – and so –

There’s a sense of building up some energy – building up steam – perhaps – asthough it could be so – an empowering surge from those motivating reasons arebeginning to flame the desire – and there’s a beginning of moving forward atlast – for getting into the race – going the distance – as though it could behappening – no matter what –

So now – imagining this person starting with a stronger desire – the kind ofthing that is propelling – and steps are more easily taken – going forward – andevery step could actually encourage desire becoming even stronger all along theway – and that means – that perhaps – just maybe – more steps and strongerdesire could possibly turn into believing –

Yes – what if believing that it could actually become – that this goal could beaccomplished – getting a sense of crossing the Finish Line –

What if that could really be believed?

Important motivating reasons – stronger desire – believing it could be –Well – perhaps – like any down the road experience – imagining if those milemarkers all along the way could be saying something important or showing apicture or an image that would continue to be encouraging and reinforcing –

The kind of thing that is connecting – nudging – drawing – creating amomentum of the just right kind that keeps a person going – without doubtcertain – strengthening the reasons – the desire – the belief –

So to be imagining now about 3 different Markers – like signs along the way onthis road that leads to the Finish Line – what might that first one perhaps besaying or showing that means just the right something? – continuing on – andthe mind will bring it forward as images freely arise in just right ways –

Imagining and even visualizing this down the road experience – passing thatFirst Marker spurring the journey forward – going a little faster – and the pacepicks up – as a marathon runner continues ever forward – without distraction – yetalways focusing with the goal in mind –

Up ahead the next Marker comes into awareness – and getting to it for thatnext reinforcement – all becoming clearer as the saying or showing of theSecond Marker reveals itself as images freely arise again – in the just right ways –

Passing this Second Marker with the reinforcement of it firmly held within – andit’s the kind of thing that stays – always ever ready for the asking – thesomething that keeps a steady pace – a sure footed onward forward motion asan ever present reminder to keep going – keep going – keep going –

Going the distance for complete and total achievement – imagining even nowcrossing the Finish Line in the feeling of total victory – and just then the ThirdMarker shows up as the ever steady pace now breaks out into the zone offlowing all the way there – what’s the Third Marker bringing in this moment ofhaving the finish in sight?

As though the saying or the showing of the Third Marker could bring it on home –giving the whole opportunity of this final surging and focusing – knowing thatthe moment of completion is close at hand – the sense of breaking through thefinish line becoming a foregone conclusion – and then that’s it –

Knowing that the foregone conclusion – this positive expectation actuallyrequires a kind of personal demand – a demand that this thing is going to bedone – will be done – can be done – is being done –

And so there’s a sense of strong determination of crossing the Finish Line andit becomes even stronger from the message of the Third Marker –

Transforming The Little Something

Sometimes it becomes obvious for the hypnotherapist and the client that thereseems to be this dragging of feet – this holding back – this sort of fighting it allthe way – the something that stalls kind of attitude that seems to stop the clientfrom moving forward. Many times, a client may come in with this attitude –already knowing they are stuck, that they procrastinate, or that they sabotagethemselves in a big way.

The client and the hypnotherapist both want a breakthrough. The answer isgenerally not to kick The Little Something out of the room. It more needs to beheard, to be listened to, find out what it needs and wants. The Little Somethingsimply is holding on to dear life for what it feels is right – what it believes to betrue – the known information in the 88%. It’s the way of doing things that justrepresents security.

So, as we give it a way to speak and be heard, as we invite it into the processof moving forward, as we let it know how much we need and want it, as wefind out what it believes, as we acknowledge the strength of its energy – wemay have the opportunity for a new negotiation. This then provides acommunication between the client and that part or idea of self that seems to beobstinately sticking with the old ways and refusing forward motion.

The following imagery journey is helpful to this process. Yet, it must beproceeded by the hypnotherapist building up the client in self-value, self-worth,self-accomplishment, increased self-confidence and a positive attitude. So thisparticular journey, is to be used in more advanced work with the client.

Many times, work like this, may be even more powerful when the client has anassist by a Wise One – someone or some thing that backs them up, is loving orsupportive, definitely helpful, when dealing with issues of any kind.

When there is a knowing about that – imagine starting a communication bytelling Little Something about those feelings – give room for Little Something tosay back what it has to say –

How does Little Something respond? How does that feel?

At some point – as communicating continues – there is a timing for connectingwith letting Little Something more deeply – letting them know about beingincluded in the process of moving forward –

Saying to The Little Something – What you have been doing is from the old way –there’s a new way of doing things that is more helpful –

You were only doing what you thought was best – it was a decision made froma long time ago – we could make a new decision – one that is more suitable forthis time now.

Let’s go forward helping each other to be comfortable with the new all along theway –

Notice how The Little Something is seeming to receive this – and reassure it –that this is a time to be heard –

The Little Something can reveal how they feel about all this – let them know it’sok to say what they need and what they want – that it’s ok to share what theybelieve to be true –

Hearing from The Little Something is important in order for The Little somethingto join in and come along –

Listen intently and find out what needs to happen in order for The LittleSomething to trust pulling together in the same direction – not pulling apart inopposite ways – facilitator pause for 30 seconds

Once this is known – what The Little Something needs – wants – and believes –what is the willingness to make adjustments? Give this the time it takes forsome mutual compatibility and cooperation – pause for 30 seconds

Your Mission Statement for the Year

This is a statement that is written in the present. It informs and defines thedesired level of performance. It describes your fundamental purpose for the year.

EXAMPLE: My mission this year is to enthusiastically do what I say I’m going todo – to joyfully follow through – to be a person of honor who can keep theirword not only to others, but to myself.

Your Vision Statement for the Year

This is a statement that aspires and inspires toward the future. It outlines howyou see yourself by year’s end. It describes how you’ll feel with the success ofyour mission and achievement of your goals.

EXAMPLE: I see myself in joy, having reached new heights of achievement,completing many projects, and feeling happier because of these positivecontributions made to others, my family and friends, to my home, and to myself.

What’s the Name of Your Year?

Name your year to represent the theme of your year. What you name it can bea touchstone to remind you of what you are all about for this year. Would it bein transformation realm? Something like – Going Beyond 2016! Or 2016 BeyondThe Beyond or what? Name it and claim it as yours!
