Farming Scholar Group is an idea to help the farmers regarding
Agriculture in order to give awareness by conducting camps. his website isdeveloped on this concept! students can enroll as volunteers! and the
university representatives "#G$s% are provided with these volunteers to
conduct the camps.
Further! the website also serves as an online portal! which provides
complete information about Agriculture in the form of articles! videos and
audio. &t also consists of registration and login pages so as to interact well. he
articles are written by the professors of that particular university. his bridges
the gap between the #G$s! volunteers and villagers.
he system has 've types of users. hey are(

delete unnecessary details such as details regarding camps which are
already ta-en place. &f the university people plan for any events such as

he proposed system will aim to automate all the activities and
eliminate all the drawbac-s that the e3isting system of manual as well as
web based operations faces. he important features of the proposed system
are listed below(
Farming Scholar Group should be something di6erent when
compared with other websites.
+estrictions are for normal users where they cannot go further.
hey should be some di6erence between professors! students!
village representatives and the normal users.
hey should be some 'les which can un7authori1ed for normal
users.
All authori1ation and authentication are based on the username and
password.
Admin has option of viewing 'les present in each category in server.
Admin will be having complete details about the village
representatives! articles! 'les and so on.
2sers can upload or download the 'les from the networ-.
Admin alone can delete! modify! upload! update 'les where as
others cannot.
he system will be developed in a modular fashion and will be well
documented. his facilitates new modules and functionality to be added
without much unwarranted e6ort and troubles.
1.2 Problem Denition
#G$s "#on Government $rgani1ations% run websites which consist of
information which help the farmers in order to give awareness regarding
farming technologies. hese websites hold information about the following(

)esticides
8anure
seeds
euipments
wallpapers of farm 'elds and euipments
4ut the ma5or problem that occurred in this system is! most of the
farmers in &ndia are illiterates and do no -now how to access the internet and
are not able to utili1e the facilities provided by the #G$s. For this reason!
the #G$s or the volunteers will have to personally meet the farmers and
e3plain them about the farming techniue which is found to be the
drawbac-. his is due to the reason9 the #G$s and the volunteers will not
have su/cient time to visit all the villages and organi1e camps. &t is also very
di/cult to conduct camps in rural areas due to lac- of interaction between
people who are interested to participate in the awareness camps.
Apart from the above mentioned problems! e3isting websites do not
contain uerying system i.e... &f the farmers have any ueries regarding the
farming techniues! they cannot post them into the website and their doubts
remain unanswered. 8oreover! apart from #G$ websites there are many
more website which do contain information regarding the farming
techniues! seeds! pesticides and also have uerying system. he problem
arise here is that! those ueries may or may not be answered because no
person in particular are appointed to answer them! and only the users who
logs into the site can answer those uestions but there is a possibility that
the user may not -now the answer.

going around for the camps and also helps in providing better and user
friendly services to all the users.
he pro5ect has to design and implement a system as listed(

Generating random &: and password for the professors! village
representatives and the student volunteers which are uniue.

he fourth chapter consists of the design phase of the pro5ect. &t
basically includes the :F: diagrams and the 28> diagrams. &t also consists
of the module design and organi1ation. he 'fth chapter deals with the
implementation and results which further consists of login forms! output

2.1 Intro-uction
his chapter mainly deals with the e3isting system and how the
#G$s help the rural people in order to give awareness about agriculture
techniues. he 'rst step of preliminary study in the system analysis process
involves the identi'cation of needs for a website which give good interactive
and friendly atmosphere.. he motivation behind this pro5ect is to give
access of di6erent 'les to user across the networ-. hus! this chapter gives a
clear view of the e3isting system as well as the constraints and limitations of
the e3isting system.
2.2 )isting */stem
8any of the #on Government $rgani1ations help the rural people
through networ- in order to give awareness about farming. hey run
websites by providing information which is essential for a farmer such as
information about the following(
)esticides

Seeds

many boo-s which give detailed information about the farming techniues!
pesticides! manure! seeds! weather and euipments.
2.2.1 Dra0bacs in )isting */stem
here are many e3isting websites which gives loads of
information about agriculture and the latest technologies. 4ut still there arise
problems in the e3isting system. $ne such reason is illiteracy. &lliteracy in
&ndia leads to many such constraints. hey are as follows(
As many of the rural people in &ndia are illiterates! they are unable to
access the internets and gather information about agriculture.
:ue to lac- of interaction among the people! the farmers are unaware
about the camps that are held in di6erent villages.
here is lot of manual wor- to be done.
;ueries cannot be answered in the websites.
he villagers have to wait for the #G$ volunteers to visit their villages
for the ne3t time which may even ta-e months.
