PREFACE
The following appendix tables are a breakdown of data compiled
by categories relative to:
Farm Expenditures
Farm Receipts
Agricultural Equipment
Land, Buildings and Equipment
Manufacturing Sector
Each section is divided by county and commodity areas and
appendix table data were used in developing summary tables relative
to the various aspects for determining the impact of agriculture
and agribusiness on the San Antonio eleven-county primary trade
area and the thirty-six county secondary trade area.
For a detailed account of exactly what is included or excluded
for each category in the appendix tables consult the. llexp1anation
of reportingll in the agricultural census for each period 1959, 1964
and 1969, Census of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Commerce, Social
and Economic Statistics Administration, Bureau of the Census,
Washington, D.C. For the manufacturing sector of the appendix tables
and SIC code identifications, see the Standard Industrial Classification
Manual, Office of Management and Budget, Statistical Policy Division,
U.S. Government, 1972.
