record safety and security: solutions for escape route systemsThe record system 20 is the new generation of door operators, designed to fulfil all relevant European safety norms and conditions. Hazardsto persons such as pushing, squeezing, crushing or trapping are prevented, in line with the relevant norms, using efficient record sensor technology or other means, e.g. elegant protection side screens. record safety and security systems are winners. They fulfil high personalsafety standards. In the record range, the following escape and rescue route systems are available:

> record SCAPECORD RED, redundant escape route model.The redundant record system 20 ensures maximum safety forescape routes thanks to two independent control systems and permanent monitoring of all safety-relevant components. Shouldthere be a power failure during daylight hours, the rechargeablebattery pack ensures emergency operation (emergency opening).During night, locks fitted to the operator prevent unauthorised operation.

> record SCAPECORD TOS, the door system with swivellingdoor leaves and side panels.Safe, convenient, practical… no other product can equalize SCAPECORD TOS. The door system is a multi purpose three-functionsliding door, incorporating reliable door automation, safety, securityand practical features. The breakout system for emergencies withswivelling door leaves and movable side panels ensures absolute safety and security. During normal operation, the door

system functions reliably and ensures convenient, barrier-free personalaccess. For bulky objects, the entire width of passage (includingside panels) can be conveniently opened to ensure easy access.

For escape routes, British Standards in the UK require that an automaticdoor opens in the case of a power failure. record fulfils this requirement by offering the BMM - the battery monitored module -an additional functionality to enhance safety and security of eachautomatic door system, defined as an escape door. Such doors fitted with record SCAPECORD BMM will continue to do a perfectjob even in the case of a power failure. The efficient functionalityof the battery is monitored by the system regularly. Any disruptionis indicated on the display of the control unit BDE-D.

The record system 20, the new generation of door operators, has been completely re-designed. The innovative operator is the basis of all record door automation applications. The new profile systemis available in both in 20 mm or 32 mm sizes, and the operator housing is supplied in two variants,with smooth or ribbed surfaces, and in two dimensions, 108 mm or 150 mm. The 150 mm variantmakes the door leaf profile invisible, as it is integrated into the operator housing.Great attention has once again been paid to smooth, low-noise operation. The new record door automation system with hardwearing door leaf guides is exceptionally smooth and quiet-running.

Among its core features, the new range offers greater flexibility, ease of installation, more room in tight spaces, lighter components, and is independent of mains electricitythanks to the new DC power supply fitted as standard. Remote control units BDE-DThe remote control unit in modern design features both text and graphic displays with easy-to-use menus. It is exceptionally user-friendly,with displays available in several languages, and easy to read, thanks to the illuminated display. Operating modes are easily selected and door functions simple to programme. The record BDE-D is available in standard size (60 x 60 mm) or slim-line version (44 x 92 mm), and is also available with key-operated lock to prevent unauthorised operation.

Networked security thanks to record ADMConvenient building management and intelligent building security systems are both becoming increasingly important. The new generationof record automatic doors uses the latest in cutting edge technology. All record door automation applications can be easily and quickly integrated into existing building control systems, thanks to record ADMand the LON-based record interface. These enable user-friendly networking, controlling and visualisation of all door systems.

The RAD 290 radar motion detector generates a pulse to trigger opening, and its 32-bit micro processor communicates continuously with the door control unit. The device possesses simultaneous processing,and is easy to configure thanks to the conveniently designed BDE-Dremote control unit. This intelligent detector operates at a frequency of24 Ghz, and can continuously eliminate pre-learned door movements.The characteristics of the acquisition field can be adjusted electronicallyand optimised, effectively eliminating interference from extraneous traffic.The new detector is available as surface-mounted or built-in, and is alsoavailable in a redundant version.

The intelligent AIR 290 presence detector is the ideal solution for entrances with special security requirements. It ensures the safety of the main and side door closing edges, and communicates information continuously with the door control unit.

The innovative record RIC 290 combined device uses a combination of radar microwave and active infrared technologies. It features a newintelligent motion and presence detector to trigger opening reliably, and fulfils high safety standards thanks to twin infra red light curtains in the entrance area of the installation. Its convex lens system enables it to register and process individual light sources, thus ensuring dependable, accurate presence monitoring. The device communicatesactively with the door control, detecting persons in the immediate doorarea, effectively eliminating triggering by own movements and interference by extraneous traffic. The sensor is configured using a system that presents relevant information visually, using a range of languages and symbols.
