EVENT INFORMATION

Registration starts at 7:00am and Captain’s Briefing with referees at 7:45am First game will start at 8:00am sharp

The tournament shall be conducted under the rules and regulations of the FIBA 3X3 Rules.

The Official FIBA Basketball Rules are valid for all game situations not specifically mentioned in FIBA 3X3 Rules.

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL

GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS Registration - All participating Team Managers/Captains are required to report to the registration counter with

their players’ NRIC by 7:40am. - Captain’s Briefing by Referee at 7:45am. Verification - All Players must bring along Identity Card upon Registration at the Counter for verification by the

Tournament Committee. Protests - All protest must be accompanied by a protest fee of $50 which will be forfeited if protest is invalid. The

Tournament Committee will be the Final Decision Maker. - It should be made BEFORE or DURING the game, all protests that come AFTER the result has been

finalised would not be entertained. Rules & Regulations - Players should understand and abide by all Rules and Regulations of the Tournament. - Teams should report to the official counter, 5 minutes before their match begins. Announcements will

be made accordingly

TOURNAMENT Format of Play i. Round Robin ii. Top 2 winners from each group will qualify to Second Round/Quarter Finals onwards.

Preliminary Rounds i. Each game shall consist 8 minutes ii. The first team which scores 21 or more points will be the winner of a game if it happens before the

end of a regular playing time. In the case of tied scores at the end of 2 periods, an overtime of 2 minutes will be played. The first team to score 2 points shall win the game

iii.How points are scored WIN 2 points LOSS 1 point WALK-OVER 0 point

In the case of a tie in points between 2 teams in the preliminaries, order of checking:

Preliminary Rounds

i. Result between both teams

In the case of a tie in points between 3 or more teams in the preliminaries, checking will be based on

i. Results between tied teams

ii. Goal ratio – (Goal score divided by goal concede)

iii. Toss of coin

iv. Sudden Death

Quarter finals onwards

Tied games during quarter-finals onwards will proceed to overtime and the first team scoring 2 points shall win the game.

TOURNAMENT

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL

Walkover - Team(s) shall concede a walkover, if one or both Teams fail to be present and ready to play 1 minute

after the scheduled time of play. The decision of the NSA Referees will be final. - If any team gives a walk-over during the tournament, 2 points will be awarded to the team present and

they will have a score of (21-0) recorded. A score of (0-21) will be recorded for the walk-over team - A team that gives 2 or more consecutive walk over during their group stages will be disqualified and

their scores will be recorded as null & void for the entire tournament Substitution - The substitution shall be permitted during dead ball situation prior approval and acknowledgement of

the Referee. Attire - Players are to be in proper Sports Attire with shoes - All participants are encouraged to be wearing event jersey through the tournament - Chains and accessories on the players’ body are to be removed prior to your match. - NSA Referees will conduct full body inspections before each match. - All Jerseys/T-shirts shall be numbered on either side. A player must be assigned with one permanent

number throughout the tournament.
