FacultyAaron T. Cvar, Ph.D., P.E. President of Front Range Stormwater & Floodplain Consulting, LLC, in Fort Collins, CO
Mr. Cvar founded Front Range Stormwater & Floodplain Consulting, LLC, in 2008. Mr. Cvar has worked for over 15 years on water-related engineering projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming. He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Colorado and Wyoming.
Mr. Cvar provides consulting involving stormwater management plans (SWMP) and storm drainage plans, reports, and design. He conducts flood studies, and provides consultation regarding FEMA flood map interpretation and letters of map revision (LOMR). Mr. Cvar has provided expert testimony and forensic engineering studies in support of water-related litigation, such as the Schiller Property in Logan County, Colorado. He has done numerous water mitigation and stormwater studies, including stormwater infrastructure design for Centerra East in Loveland, Colorado. Mr. Cvar has conducted numerous flood studies and FEMA flood map revisions. He has taken a lead role in recent FEMA flood map revisions for the Town of Severance, Colorado. Mr. Cvar has conducted letters of map revision for riverine floodplains and drainageways in Fort Collins, Timnath, Wellington, and Windsor, Colorado. He also has had extensive experience in conducting mountain flood studies within the Cache La Poudre River and Big Thompson River watersheds.
Mr. Cvar holds both a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, along with his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, from Colorado State University.

Continuing Education Credit InformationThis seminar is open to the public and offers up to 6.5 continuing education hours to engineers, landscape architects (HSW), in most states, including Wyoming. Educators and courses are not subject to pre-approval in Wyoming. This seminar also offers a continuing education opportunity to floodplain managers.
This seminar has been submitted to the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System for approval, which is pending.
HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education provider for engineers in Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York (NYSED So. 35), North Carolina, and North Dakota. HalfMoon Education is deemed an approved continuing education sponsor for New York landscape architects.
The Association of State Floodplain Managers has approved this activity for 6.5 CECs.
This program offers a non-credit continuing education opportunity to construction contractors. It has not been reviewed by any state licensing board with mandatory continuing education.
Attendance will be monitored and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.
