2013 ANNUAL REPORT

Sara and her husband didn’t think they could afford a baby. So when they found out they were pregnant, it didn’t take long for them, in their

desperation, to make an appointment for an abortion. Although their family members urged them against it, Sara and her husband were undeterred.

That is, until the night before she was supposed to visit the abortion clinic. That night, Sara had a dream. In her dream, she saw Jesus, who told her not

to abort her unborn baby. Sara cancelled her appointment and visited Agape instead. After her visit with our Client Advocate, we performed a sonogram. When Sara saw her baby on the screen, she cried, realizing that she nearly

terminated a human life. Soon afterwards, Sara gave her heart to Jesus, and later, with Agape staff standing nearby, was baptized in her church.

Sara has since given birth to another child, a girl. But since her first experience with the temptation of abortion, Sara’s heart has been changed.

She now understands what a gift life is and feels blessed to be called “mother.”

ting 10 Years of Saving Lives…

Physically & Eternally

Faithfulness. That is the word that stands out as I reflect on 2013 and ten years of ministry at Agape. Near the end of his life, Thomas Chisholm, author of the classic hymn “Great is Thy Faithfulness” expressed sentiments that could have been written for us today. He penned, “… I must not fail to record here the unfailing faithfulness of a covenant-keeping God and that He has given me many wonderful displays of His providing care, for which I am filled with astonishing gratefulness.” I, too, am filled with astonishing gratefulness for every precious baby who has been given a chance at life…for every young mother (and father) who have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ…for every frightened girl who has been given hope…for the constant provision for every aspect of this ministry. Great is His faithfulness!

Thank you for being the hands and feet through which God has blessed this ministry for so many years. I am humbled by the continued giving of time and finances to allow Agape to stay the course. So, as we reflect, all praise to our faithful God…and many, many thanks to you, our supporters.

In His Service,

Jo Jo Markham, Executive Director
