Grace Tee Makombe-Muza There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics. I am sick of this
continuous potrayal of Africa. Why is there now a second scramble for Africa. Its
because it has the riches the West does not have anymore. If locals mine Gold
,Diamonds etc they are considered Bloody!!...If we decide to cull our own
overpopulated Elephants you cry fowl. Until you pay the piper and call the tune, then
all is honkey dorey...All the locals need is water , shelter, clothing, and food from its
own Government direction, like every sovereign country does . You call it "Marlow's
hierarchy of needs".Than keep us hooked on aid which only feeds the West and the
inept governance. Africa is rich and its leadership is very poor . If Africa secures its
borders and ensure mercenaries do not destabilise, then we can have some normalcy.
Stop the negative reporting that just dirties all Africa. Its time to give positive
reinforcement through bonafide investments. Africans are genuine in accepting visitors
and abusing our vulnerability in economic vision makes the situation untenable.
"Whom much is given much is expected" Treat Africa with sincerity. Enough of carrot
and stick policies.
