Terms and Conditions Brochure validity: June 2014 – May 2015Passports and visasPassports must have a validity of at least 6 months longer than our intended stay overseas. Some countries have a requirement that a certain number of pages are blank in your passport. Please check with Ultimate Kruger Park Safaris for visa costs.

HealthVaccinations against Yellow Fever are compulsory for East Africa and Zambia, and many other countries require proof of a valid vaccination card if these countries have been visited or you have been in transit. It is also highly recommended that you take anti-malaria medication. Please consult your GP or Travel Doctor for up-to-date medical advice for South Africa.

BookingA non-refundable deposit of 25% per person is required within 7 days of booking confirmation along with a signed booking form. Payment of a deposit and a signed booking form represents acceptance of Ultimate Kruger Park Tours’ Terms and Conditions by the client. Final balance of payment must be received no later than 60 days prior to departure.

Late bookingsBookings made within 30 days of travel from Australia will incur a late booking fee of AUD$100 and full payment will be required immediately.

Amendment feeAn amendment fee of AUD$75 will be levied to cover communication and administration costs for any changes to bookings.

Booking feeA booking fee of AUD$50 will be charged for arrangements such as hotels and car hire not forming part of a package conducted by Ultimate Kruger Park Safaris.

CancellationsCancellations must be received in writing and will take effect from the date received by Ultimate Kruger Park Safaris. The following cancellation charges will apply to the tour costs.More than 60 days before departure: Deposit only60-49 days before departure: 40%48-31 days before departure: 60%30-0 days before departure: 100%

The non-issuing of an invoice or non-payment of deposit will not exempt clients from these cancellation and administration fees. We regret we can make no exception to the charges and strongly recommend that com-prehensive travel insurance is taken out at time of booking to cover cancellation fees. These charges can vary subject to the trading terms of our suppliers as some do impose higher cancellation fees on certain tours.

InsuranceWe strongly recommend that a comprehensive travel insurance policy be taken out at time of paying the deposit. Ultimate Kruger Park Safaris will not accept responsibility for loss of deposit/full payment, loss or damage to baggage and personal items, personal illness or injury, medical expenses, cancellations or curtailment of your trip.

Special note regarding pricesMuch care has gone into the composition of this itinerary and pricing for this brochure, however circumstances beyond our control, such as currency devaluation, fuel or air fare surcharges, and imposition of new or amended Government charges (eg VAT) may necessitate an increase in cost. Ultimate Kruger Safaris cannot be held responsible for these changes. Should this occur at any time until departure date, you will be notified as soon as possible, and regardless of deposit or total payment having been made, any increase is to be paid by the client. If such increase is unacceptable, the client may cancel the booking, though, in so doing, is still liable to pay any cancellation charges imposed by our suppliers. Ultimate Kruger Safaris does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of those airlines, local operators, shipping companies, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with your tour pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves and over whom we have no direct and exclusive control. Day 3: Kruger National Park – Day and NightEarly morning departure starting to make our way to the central region of the Kruger and stopping at a picnic site or camp for breakfast. This morning we will be driving through Elephant and Buffalo territory, so keep a good look out for these large herbivores. After breakfast continue to head to our port of call - the magnificent Olifants Rest Camp (Olifants being Afrikaans for Elephant) check in and have lunch. We will be spending 3 nights here giving us time to enjoy the central plains of the park. Late afternoon relax at camp and before sunset head out on a sunset drive returning back to camp after dark with spotlights looking for Kruger’s numerous nocturnal species such as Bats, Genets, Hyena, Leopard etc. Dinner at camp.

Day 4: Travelling the KrugerHead out and start to explore the Central Kruger, watch the African sun rise like a ball of fire over the bush. This area most people associate with the Serengeti as it has vast areas with endless grass plains. Return back to camp for lunch. Observe animals coming to drink from the Olifants lookout and late afternoon head out and return to camp for dinner.

Day 5: Game drives (no two are ever the same!)Another beautiful morning start exploring the area and looking for more of the Kruger’s 147 animal species, 400 birds and various reptile species. Breakfast at the Letaba Rest Camp and an informative visit to the Elephant Hall Museum where you can learn about Kruger’s great tuskers. Head back to camp for lunch and late afternoon drive.

Day 6: A day of leisureWe now start our descent into Southern Kruger where we willbe spending the next 2 nights. Breakfast on route and a visit to thefamous site where Harry Wolhuter, one of Kruger’s first rangers was attacked by lions and survived. Check into camp, lunch and the option of an afternoon game drive or relaxing, shopping or going for a walk around the camp before dinner.

Day 7: Exploring the SouthRise early with the birds and venture out seeing whichanimals call this part of Kruger home. Follow up on sightings that were posted on the camp game viewing boards from the day before. Return to camp for brunch, another exciting afternoon game drive and returning back to camp for dinner.

Day 8: Moving to Kruger`s Private LodgesWe make our way out of the National Park and re enter theKruger in the Private sector namely the Sabi Sands or TimbivatiPrivate Game Reserves. Breakfast on route. Check into one of our luxury lodges and enjoy a light lunch. We venture out for our sunset game drive in open jeeps, where you can go off-road, getting you up close and personal to the wildlife. Return back to camp for dinner.

Day 9: Exploring the Private SectorEarly morning wake up call. Coffee and cakes beforedeparture.Venture out into the bush seeing what the new daybrings. Return to camp for breakfast and lunch and time to unwind. Late afternoon game drive stopping for sundowners and returning back to the lodge for dinner after dark.

Day 10: Our last full dayEarly morning wake up call, coffee and cakes beforedeparture. Head out and follow up on sightings from the day before or pick up on fresh animals prints that may come our way. Breakfast and lunch back at camp. Our final sunset drive and dinner at lodge.

Day 11: Kruger National Park – MelbourneOur last game drive and chance to add to our list of all thespectacular animals, birds and trees we have seen. Breakfast onroute, then either fly or drive back to Johannesburg for your outbound flight to Australia. All in all a trip of a lifetime, in one of Africa’s oldest and most famous national parks THE KRUGER.

Our signature tourDay 1: Melbourne – South AfricaPickup from Airport by your Private Ranger and catering staff and head off where your adventure begins starting in Kruger’s North. Drive to your camp through the various habitats and soaking up your first experience of this magnificent Park (The Largest in SA and over 2.2 million hectares expanding through 3 countries) On arrival at camp check in, relax and dinner.

Day 2: Settling in to Kruger National ParkThe best way to view game is in the early morning when the gates open and late afternoon just before they close. Head North exploring this beautiful region of Kruger. Breakfast at alovely picnic site or at a Rest Camp. After breakfast we slowly make our way back to camp, where you can relax, swim, do some shopping and have lunch. Late afternoon game drive returning to camp for dinner.
