Latinx Approach
Esperanza En Educación Conference is a one-day conference to encourage, motivate, and empower Latino/a students to pursue higher education, as well as
to give them the opportunity to experience the University of Washington. Participants will meet current Latino/a UW students, interact in workshops, and
prepare them to be competitive applicants to UW.

Shades of Purple is a student conference for underrepresented minority high school rising seniors who are interested in attending the University of Washington – Seattle.
▪ Summer: WA State
▪ 8 locations across WA State
▪ Free meals & materials
▪ Workshops on UW admissions process
Shades of Purple and iDUB: RecruitmentiDUB is an application workshop conference for underrepresented minority, low-income, or first-generation high school seniors who are interested in attending the University of Washington.
▪ Fall: UW Campus
▪ Free Transportation
▪ Free meals & materials
▪ Workshops on UW admissions process
Newly admitted students to the UW in Seattle, along with their families, are invited to discover all the UW has to offer through the 2018 P&G Experience. Participants will
learn about programs that promote success both in and out of the classroom, interact with current UW students, and have opportunities to find out about academic majors,
support services, and social/cultural happenings on campus.
