IQAC First Meeting with Faculty for Academic Year 2015-16
1. Prof. Gilbi John addressed the faculty members as the newly appointed IQAC Coordinator
and requested them for their active support for the effective implementation of the IQAC
activities.
2. Dr. Anil Adsule –Chairman IQAC suggested that the faculty members be present and
participate in the admission process to ensure that the admissions are given on priority to
the students from the marginalized sections of society ,keeping in mind the main objective
of Jesuit Education.
3. Prof. Franklin Salvi suggested that the students and parents should be spoken to when
giving admission to understand the need and expectations of students in academic,
extracurricular and co curricular activities. Providing quality all round education and
ensuring that students adhere to rules and regulation of the college and university should
be given priority. This suggestion was accepted by all present.
4. It was decided that all admissions will be granted only after the approval by a member of
the IQAC or faculty to ensure that the objective and mission of the college are achieved.

IQAC First Meeting with Stakeholders Representatives for Academic Year 2015-16
1. Prof. Gilbi John – IQAC coordinator welcomed the representatives members of various
stakeholders and requested them to dedicate the year to activities towards development of
the students academically, socially culturally and morally.
2. Prof. Yogesh Mate suggested to conduct a programmes to celebrate and enhance the
Interreligious and communal living and sharing, this suggestion was accepted by all and Prof.
Yogesh Mate was entrusted the responsibility to conduct the activity
3. The Dr. Goretti Gonsalves suggested to conduct programmes to acquaint the students on
the various career opportunities available for the students of Commerce , this suggestion
was equally supported by the Mr.Renson Vas
4. Mr.Praphulla Gaikwad suggested to educate and train the students towards the various
entrance examinations such as M.B.A and acquaint the students on the opportunities in the
Civil Services ( U.P.S.C and M.P.S.C)
5. Dr.Adsule suggested to begin the process of digitization of the library ,this suggestion was
highly appreciated by all and Prof. Yogesh Mate was instructed to initiate the process and to
introduce INFLIBNET
6. Representatives of the P.T.A made the following suggestions
a) To initiate some social outreach programme to develop a sense of awareness
towards of the various social issues
b) To conduct programmes to enhance the spirit of Nationality and National
Integration
c) To conduct some special classes slow learners who have a ATKT exams and would
be appearing for the same in OCTOBER
d) To continue the system of attendance tracking of the students and informing the
parents of their child’s progress
e) To provide some additional guidance to students to improve the command over the
English language especially for the students from vernacular mediums.
7. Mr.Renson Vas suggested conducting a special Entrepreneurial Development Programme
and to organize an Industrial visit for the students this suggestion was supported by Dr. Anil
Adsule – Chairman IQAC
8. Prof. Franklin Salvi suggested to continue the noble cause of BLOOD DONATION CAMP and
requested the members of the ALUMNI to shoulder the responsibility for the same , this
was accepted by all on a consensus
9. Mr. Digambar Mane recommended to focus activities on the Protection and Preservation of
the Environment and natural resources, he also suggested to conduct visits to the various
homes for the deprived and underprivileged to create a sense of responsibility and develop
a spirit of humanity among the students .
10. The students representatives suggested to encourage the participation in Inter College
activities and to also encourage participation in various sports activities at the University
Level which have not been considered till date they suggested the participation in inter
College Badminton and presented the request of Mr. Gulshan Ahir a student of F.Y.B.Com to

participate in the Inter College Body Building Competition , a first time event for St.Vincent
College of Commerce.
11. Prof. Gilbi John presented the vote of thanks and assured the IQAC members the
implementation of all the suggestions.
12. It was decided to have a staff meeting on Monday , 29th June 2017 to plan the activities
according to suggestions of the IQAC and various stakeholders and to plan thepreparation of
yearly Hand book and the theme for the Academic Year 2015-16 on which the activities will
be basedupon.

IQAC Meeting with the Faculty
1. Dr.Anil Adsule – Chairman IQAC entrusted the responsibility to Prof. Gilbi John for the
preparation of Hand book to plan various activities according to the IQAC and stakeholders
suggestions
2. Prof. Gilbi John suggested and agreed to take the responsibility to conduct the Social
Outreach Programmes
3. The duty of tabulation was handed over to Prof.Franklin Salvi by consensus.He was also
given the task of communicating the attendance records to the parents with the help of the
Online SMS service.
4. Prof. Yogesh Mate was appointed to conduct the seminar for the educating the students on
career opportunities in Civil Services
5. Ms. Shaheen Sayed was entrusted the responsibility to plan the various activities for female
students with a special focus on Personality DevelopmentHhealth and Hygiene Awareness.
6. The responsibility of sports ,cultural and extracurricular activities was given to the
Prof. Franklin Salvi .Hhe was also appointed as the Student Council Coordinator.
7. Prof. Gilbi John suggested to keep the theme of the year ‘YUVA – Youth united in Vision in
Action’. This was appreciated and accepted by all present.

Special Meeting of IQAC with Faulty members
1. Dr. Anil Adsule, Chairman – IQAC informed the members of the interest shown by
Dr.Sanjay Kaptan H.O.D., Department of Commerce and Research Centre, University
of Pune to conduct a seminar on career guidance at St. Vincent College of Commerce
to motivate and educate the students.
2. Prof. Franklin Salvi agreed to accept the responsibility for the organization of the
seminar.
3. It was decided to host the seminar on 05/08/2015 on Careers in Commerce with
special reference to Banking and Finance in Collaboration with Department of
Commerce and Research Centre, University of Pune.

IQAC meeting with Faculty for Plan of Action for the Social Outreach Programme
1. Prof. Gilbi John - IQAC coordinator requested the members to provide suggestions
for the conduct of Outreach Programme with regards to the place of visit
2. Prof. Franklin Salvi suggested a visit to JEEVAN DAAN center which is for the
welfare and care of HIV + patients .This would to educate the students on HIV and
to create awareness towards the prevention of discrimination against the people
suffering from HIV + .The suggestion was agreed upon by all
3. Prof. Gilbi John informed the committee about the desire shown by scholastics from
D’Nobili College ,Ramwadi to conducting a programme on awareness of health and
hygiene among the slums of Kalyaninagar.
4. The committee unanimously agreed to execute the programme in collaboration
with D’Nobili College under the guidance of Br.Oscar Daniel SJ and Br. Pradep SJ

IQAC and Faculty meeting
1. Prof. Gilbi John – Coordinator suggested to focus on conducting the Environmental
Awareness Programme in view of the World Calamity Control Day ( 13th October,2015)
2. Prof. Yogesh Mate suggested to conduct the Environment Programme in collaboration with
LOKAYAT a Voluntary Organization and Social Activist Group of Students . The same was
approved by all present and Prof. Gilbi John was entrusted the responsibility of the same
3. Prof. Franklin Salvi requested the IQAC Coordinator to seek the help of ALUMNI in the
organization of St .Vincent Rolling Trophy by way of sponsorship and voluntary service.
4. Prof. Gibli John agreed to approach the ALUMNI and suggested to conduct the event on 3rd
and 4th October 2015.
5. Dr. Adsule suggested to conduct a talk on the life of St.Vincent De Paul which would focus
on the path that he chose to serve the Almighty and to provide service to the needy. To
motivate the students to inculcate the spirit of service and sacrifice and their ability to reach
out to others , the decision was appreciated and it was agreed to conduct the event on

6. Prof. Gilbi John agreed to shoulder the responsibility and to organize the event in
collaboration with the scholastics studying at Jana Deep Vidyapeeth, Ramnagar , Pune.

IQAC Meeting with the Faculty
1. Prof. Gilbi John – IQAC coordinator requested the members of the faculty to plan for
a Social Outreach Programme during the month of December to celebrate and
encourage the spirit of Thanksgiving among the students.
2. The following places were suggested by the faculty members
a) Sandhya Home - Home for the Aged ( Nana Peth)
b) Prem Niwas – Home for the Aged ( Camp)
c) MAHER Ashram ,Vadgaosheri
d) MAHER Ashram ,Wagholi- a home for homeless women , orphans &
mentally challenged women who were rendered homeless
3. It was unanimously decided on consensus to visit MAHER Ashram at Wagholi
4. The IQAC & Faculty Members decided to take the students to MAHER on
20/12/2015 to celebrate Christmas with the residents of MAHER and spend a day
with games and entertainment Programmes for the residents and to share a meal
with less fortunate . The responsibility to organize activities of the visit was given to
the Prof.Franklin Salvi and Ms Lizan Mendonca (Student Coordinator)
5. The faculty members were entrusted with the responsibility to motivate the
students to voluntarily contribute towards thanksgiving offering in kind i.e. daily
consumables, grains, oil , toiletries etc. And/or cash for purchase of blankets and
shawls.
6. Prof. Franklin Salvi – Student Council Coordinator requested for a special meeting to
be held of IQAC and faculty with regards to ‘THARSEO’
7. It was decided to arrange a meeting on Monday , 07/12/2015 . All the members
were requested to put forward their suggestions for the various activities to be
conducted during THARSEO

1. Prof. Franklin Salvi – Student Council Coordinator requested the members present to contribute towards the organization of THARSEO – V in terms of suggestions and voluntary help
2. Mr. Ignatius Peter agreed to shoulder the responsibility of conducting the vents of Chess & Carrom
3. Mr. Rudoplh Devansan and Mrs. Shaheen Sayed agreed to undertake the responsibility of hospitality to the Chief Guest ,Guest of Honour , Judges and participants
4. Prof. Franklin Salvi recommend the use of social media to promote the events, sending invitations and accepting of registration .This decision was accepted and Prof. Franklin and Prof. Gilbi John was given the responsibility for the same
5. Mr. Shijin Wilson mentioned that the students have requested to include a Photography Competition to encourage participation among the students.This suggestion was agreed upon by all present.
6. Prof. Franklin Salvi was entrusted with the responsibility of allotment of duties to the staff members on the days of the competition.

IQAC meeting with the Faculty on the issue of Industrial Visit
1. Prof. Gilbi John -IQAC coordinator informed the faculty to conduct an Industrial Visit for
the students of the college
2. Prof. Franklin Salvi gave the assurance of conducting an Industrial visit. However he
suggested t o limit the number of students to a manageable number for better learning
and interaction.
3. The suggestion was accepted and Prof. Franklin was given the responsibility to conduct
the Industrial visit.

IQAC Meeting with the Faculty
1. The meeting was conducted discuss the initiative of Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra
Modi’s initiative to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among the Youth of India -Start
up India Stand Up India , and to conduct an activity for the same
2. Prof. Franklin Salvi informed the committee about his interaction with an NGO MANAVI
YUVA VIKAS SANSTHA and NEHRU YUVA KENDRA to conduct a live Telecast of the launch of
Start up India, Stand Up India initiative by the Prime Minister of India and his interaction
with the young entrepreneucr. He also informed that the President of MANAVI YUVA VIKAS
SANSTHA and NEHRU YUVA KENDRA would be present for the event to motivate the
students to be Entrepreneurs.
3. The suggestion of live telecast was accepted by all and Prof. Franklin Salvi was handed the
responsibility of conducting the activity.

IQAC meeting with the Faculty
1. Prof. Gilbi John – IQAC Coordinator requested to consider the suggestions made by the
IQAC to implement programmes on National Integration and Communal Harmony
2. Prof. Yogeash Mate informed the IQAC in his capacity as the Student Welfare Officer, he has
initiated the process for organizing an Inter Religious Exchange Programme for sharing of
values and a programme to celebrate the exchange of cultures in Inter State Living and
Cultural Exchange Programme in Collaboration with the Board of Student Welfare , Savitribai
Phule Pune University .
3. The Committee appreciated his efforts and Prof. Franklin Salvi was entrusted with the role of
assisting Prof.Yogesh Mate in the Inter Religious Exchange Programme , Prof. Gilbi John was
entrusted the role of assisting Prof. Yogesh Mate in the Inter State Living and Cultural
Exchange Programme.

IQAC Meeting with Faculty
1. Prof.GIlbi John IQAC Coordinator addressed the meeting and congratulated the Faculty for
the support in the implementation of IQAC suggestions and conduct of Activities in the
second term till date. He requested the IQAC and Faculty for suggestions to bring
improvement in the Academic Performance of the students.
2. Prof. Franklin Salvi suggested conducting an Open Day – P.T.A. interaction programme to
inform the Parents/Guardians of their Child/Ward’s academic performance and to suggest
measures to improve the all round progress of the student.
3. Prof.Gilbi John suggested to having a one to one interaction of the subject teacher with the
Parent / Guardian for personal counseling and guidance for each child.
4. The suggestions were unanimously and it was also agreed to conduct the Open Day on
Saturday , 16th January ,2016

Date : 01/05/2017 IQAC Follow-up and Evaluation meeting for the Academic Year 2015-16
1. Dr. Anil Adsule – IQAC Chairman welcomed members of IQAC and congratulated them for
their wholehearted contribution towards the progress of the college and expressed his
gratitude for the efforts of the IQAC in the enhancement of college activities
2. Secretary IQAC Prof. Franklin Salvi presented the committee the recommendations given by
the stakeholders at the beginning of the academic year and the Action Taken Report (ATR)
which reflected the implementation of the recommendations.
3. The following feedback was received
i. The P.T.A. appreciated the efforts of the IQAC in the effective communication and
follow up made by the IQAC regarding the attendance of their child /ward
ii. The P.T.A. expressed their gratitude to the committee and the faculty for organizing
the OPEN DAY and providing parents an opportunity for a personal interaction with
the Faculty, thus being made aware of their child/ward’s progress
iii. A special mention and appreciation was made by Mr.Renson Vas for the various
Career Guidance Programmes , and the Industrial Visit conducted during the year
and efforts made to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship
iv. Mr. Digambar Mane congratulated the IQAC for conducting various Social
Awareness Programmes to acquaint the students with various social issues
prevailing in the society.
v. A special appreciation was made by all stake holders for the visit to JEEVAN DAAN
AIDS Centre.
vi. Mr.Ignatius Peter thanked the IQAC for implementing their suggestion on the
aspect educating students on Career Opportunities in civil services and other
Competitive Examinations
vii. Fr.Konrad Noronha congratulated the IQAC for their efforts of on National
Integration and Communal Harmony.He appreciated their efficiency in the conduct
of the Inter Religious Exchange Programme & Inter State Living and Cultural
Exchange Programme.
viii. In order to ensure better efficiency Prof. Gilbi John recommended conduct of four
IQAC meetings each year .i.e. one meeting each at the beginning and
commencement of each term to planning and evaluation and two meetings with the
Stakeholder representatives i.e. one meeting at the beginning and commencement
of the Academic Year.
ix. Dr.Anil Adsule recommended entrusting the Faculty with the responsibility of
execution of the recommendations and decisions made during the meetings of IQAC
and Stakeholders.
x. The suggestions made by Dr.Anil Adsule and Prof. Gilbi John were accepted on
unanimously by all present.

IQAC meeting with Faculty
1. Dr.Anil Adsule – IQAC Chairman expressed his gratitude to the members for their
presence for Republic Day of India celebrations
2. Prof. Gilbi John IQAC coordinator requested the members to give their suggestions
for the organization of the Annual Day on the theme of YUVA– Youth united in
Vision & Action
3. Prof. Yogesh Mate suggested to invite Dr.Narandra Kadu – Registrar – Savitribai
Phule Pune University as the Chief Guest
4. Prof. Franklin Salvi informed the committee that Mr.Mario Maduram (S.Y.B.Com)
suggested to invite a young budding cricketer Mr. Samad Fallah – Ranji Team –
Maharashtra as a special guest to motivate the youngsters.
5. It was unanimously agreed to invite Dr.Narandra Kadu and the Chief Guest and Mr.
Samad Fallah as the Guest of Honour.
6. Prof. Yogesh Mate voluntarily accepted the responsibility of the various cultural
programmes to be conducted on the Annual Day, which was agreed to and Mr.Yezdi
Mehta a member of the ALUMNI agreed to assist Prof. Mate
7. Prof. Franklin Salvi was given the overall charge of Discipline during the event
8. It was decided to conduct a meeting on Monday, 15th
February ,2016 , to review the
Annual Day Activities and plan for the Annual Examinations .

IQAC and Faculty Annual Day Evaluation Meeting and Conduct of Examination
1. Dr. Anil Adsule – Chairman IQAC congratulated the members on the successful
conduct of the Annual Day
2. He however expressed his displeasure on the following aspects
a) Some members of the Faculty were found not contributing effectively towards
the organization of the Annual Day
b) The schedule of the Annual Day was not adhered to
c) The technical equipment were below par
3. Prof.Gilbi John – IQAC coordinator assured to rectify the above shortcminings in the
future .He also mentioned that the Technical errors were due to high fluctuations in
voltage, due to maintenance work carried on by the Electricity Board
4. Dr.Anil Adsule informed the Faculty members to conduct examinations with utmost
discipline and ensure that strict action against any case of malpractice by the student
found during the examination.
5. He also told the of for the examination and proposed the name of appoint Prof. Gilbi
John to be appointed as the College Examination officer & Prof. Franklin Salvi as
Internal Senior Supervisor . There were consensus on the above appointments by all
present
