Institution...

The House of Jaipurias is a recognized name in the Indian Industrial arena.

Their industrial group, Ginni Group of Industries, is a front runner in the

field of textile manufacturing and exports. Their success in this field is

largely due to their philosophy to adopt cutting edge in technology and

managerial innovations. The same philosophy of staying abreast with the

latest developments in the management field is manifested by the

promoters to the running of Jaipuria Institute of Management.

The Jaipuria Charitable Trust / Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Society

runs various reputed schools and colleges in the country. A degree College

named 'Seth Anandram Jaipuria College' founded by Seth Anandram

Jaipuria Trust set up at Kolkata in 1945 is now a flourishing and famous

centre of excellence in Post Graduate Education. Its inauguration was done

during the British regime by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, who became the first

Prime Minister of Independent India. On completing 50 years of excellent

performance in academics and extracurricular activities, the College

celebrated its Golden Jubilee on 10th September 1995. At present more

than 7000 students are studying there.

There are various other educational institutes run by the Jaipuria Trust, i.e. Seth Anandram Jaipuria Inter College, Anandnagar (U.P.) and Smt. Nani Bai Jaipuria Rajkiya Balika Vidyalaya, Mandawa (Rajasthan). Thus, the House of Jaipuria has already an excellent record of running efficiently educational institutions of repute for catering to the needs of different levels of students in the country.

Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Society further promoted Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, in April, 1992.

It was in the year 1995, that Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Society felt the need to enter the field of quality management education to further strengthen their base in promoting excellent education and training. To fulfil this objective, they started Jaipuria Institute of Management at Lucknow in 1995. Encouraged by the success of the Institution at Lucknow and increasing students' demand for more seats, Jaipuria Institute of Management was set up at Ghaziabad in 2001 which is equipped with modern teaching techniques and facilities.

As a contribution to the Society, the Jaipuria Charitable Trust has also set up an Eye Hospital run by Seth Anandram Jaipuria Eye Hospital Trust at Nawalgarh (Rajasthan). It has 185 beds and is well equipped with modern X-Ray and Operation Theatre facilities. Public guest houses have been built at Varanasi, Haridwar, Vindhyachal, Vrindaban and Chitrakoot (U.P.). The Jaipuria Trust has also constructed a temple by the name of 'Ram Darshan' at Chitrakoot in the memory of Padma Bhushan late Seth M. R. Jaipuria. The temple has been dedicated to the Nation during November, 2000.

Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, KanpurEstablished in 1974 the school was inaugurated by Dr. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, President of India, while the foundation stone was laid by Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India. At present it has 2500 students from classes Nursery to XII and strives to maintain excellence in academics along with equal emphasis on co-curricular activities.

Seth Anandram Jaipuria School at Kanpur is today the leading light of Northern India, where stress is laid on inculcating amongst students a spirit of Sanatan Aryan Culture through English medium, thus bringing out the best of the East and the West to discipline the life-style with emphasis on Indian Culture and to impart proficiency through the versatile medium of English. This is backed by the firm belief that character building and acquisition of right knowledge at a young age go a long way to groom the children to grow into disciplined, law abiding and knowledgeable persons capable of applying these acquired virtues to life as it unfolds itself.

Our Mission

At Seth Anandram Jaipuria School we aim for a perfect balance of complementary factors : ancient and modern, traditional and innovative. Our students will be knowledgeable, confident meticulous and self reliant. We all want to give our children the best start in life. The aim of the school is to help the children grow into refined citizens in a healthy environment. This is hoped to be achieved through the development of :

1- Integrated personality through intellectual, moral and physical development.

2- Qualities to enable children adapt themselves to their environment through a forum of self-expression and group interaction.

3- Self-confidence and leadership skills through participation and involvement in co-curricular activities.

We at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School rededicate ourselves to keep our torch burning, fired by our missionary zeal and untiring effort, widely spreading the light of knowledge and helping our children to move from darkness to light.

Our Intent Since its inception in 1974 our school has been influencing the educational and cultural ethos of Kanpur and has shaped generations of students. Our former students take pride in their association with the Jaipuria School and like being referred to as a “Jaipurian!” It is the aspiration of many parents to see their children educated here. It is not just the quality of academic training that the children receive here that draws parents toward the school but the emphasis we place on all-round character development, the values that we inculcate in our students. The urge to see their wards educated here seems to be similar to the craving one has to stand in the shade of an old, large, canopied tree for shelter, comfort and protection from the heat and dust of the long road! Under the majesty of such a tree, they expect their children to learn and gather the required life skills and wherewithal to excel in the world of ever increasing and competitive demands. In the last four decades we have seen widespread changes in our lives and our society. The aims and objectives of education, the methods employed to achieve them, and the

contexts in which we apply ourselves, have all undergone paradigm shifts. These changes compel many an institution to restrict their educational goals to fulfilling academic requirements and demands. There are very few institutions that aspire, let alone apply wholeheartedly, to follow a more holistic approach to education. Our attempt will be to give an education that is liberal and empowering. It can be said that our educational ideas and objectives manifest broadly at three levels. As the foundation we have the timeless and eternal humanistic values which throb at the heart of the educational culture and heritage of this country. On this base we attempt to build an ethos of learning rooted in scientific temper and objective inquiry. Then we would like to see the academic skills and knowledge emerge from this spirit of inquiry, exploration, and experiment. The student is encouraged to cultivate the right attitude by learning about the world and one's relationship with it, and to develop the necessary capacities to meet diverse challenges in life.
