states the following:

1. That I am a police officer with the Mentor-on-the-Lake P,oliceDepartment.and.have beenwith the department for seventeen (17) years. I have been-acertifiedpeace officer in the State of Ohio for nineteen (19) years. Im"authoiizeqtq'conduct investigations into alleged violations of OhioCriminal Laws; .

2. That on November 27, 2011, at 20:08 hours, the Mentor-en-the-Lake PoliceDepartment received a 911 transfer call from Central Dispatch from aStephanie 'Stroud, an adult female (25 years old) that there was a suspicious odor andsomething dead in her garage (possibly a dog) that is located at 5610 Marine:Parkway, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Lake County, Ohio;

3. That Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Officer KenWuchte and Sergeant ScottDaubenmire responded to Ms. Stroud's residence;

4. That while on scene, Sergeant Daubenmire was able to view what he believedto be a decomposing human head arid torso under plastic;

5. That Officer Wuchte, based on his experience dealing with deceased bodies'(over a dozen times over his career, most recently Saturday); smelled what hebelieved to be a decomposing body in the garage (OfficerWuchtedid not lookunder the plastic);

6. That while on scene, the Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department learned fromneighbors from across the street, Peter Gammiere ( a dispatcher with theWillougby Police Department and former Battalion Chief of the Mentor-on-the-Lake Fire Department) and his wife Jean Gammiere, that a female resident ofthe house, Diane Stroud, has been missing, for approximately six (6) weeks(although this was never reported to law enforcement) and that Diane Stroudand her husband Gary Stroud were going through marital problems;

7. That Peter Gammiere told Sergeant Daubenmire that Gary Stroud has told hischildren that his wife, Diane Stroud, ran away and joined a cult;

8. That Officer Wuchte was informed that Diane Stroud'shusband, Gary Stroud,was still inside the residence located at 5610 Marine parkway watching ".:television; . . .

9. That while on scene waiting for back-up, the garage door of the residence of5610 Marine Parkway which was open was now being closed;10. That fearing the destruction/tampering of evidence, Serqeant Daubenmire.

decided to move towards the house;1.1. That while Sergeant Daubenmire and Officer WuchtesJJproached the house,

Gary Stroud was on the front porch; .12. That after several commands from SergecmtDaubenmire t o get on.theqround

and Gary Stroud refusing to comply, Sergeant Daubenrniredeployed his .Taser, '.incapacitating Gary Stroud, and Gary Stroud was then restrained: . .

13. That there are four (4) vehicles on the property: amaroon 4 door JeepCherokeeSport (license number DPG-7504); a black 4 door Jeep4x4 Patriot (licensenumber EEC-1245); a red 4 door Pontiac Vibe (license number EKM-6666); a .silver 4 door Kia Spectra (license number EIM-5596);

---1-4:----,lhattlle above=descrtbed-Jeep Oherokee Sport is registered to GaryStroud, thatthe above-described Jeep 4x4 Patriot is registered to DianeStroud; and that theabove-described Pontiac Vibe is registered to Gary Stroud, allof whom live at5610 Marine Parkway;

15. That the Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department received information from PeterGammiere that Gary Stroud has been driving Diane StroudaJeep 4x4 Patriot,since his wife disappeared, which was unusual;

16. That the Kia Spectra is registered to Keith A. Ross, who does not reside at theresidence and is believed to have just arrived at 5610 Marine Parkway theevening of November 27, 2011, and is not believed to have any evidentiaryvalue;

17. That Peter Gammiere's daughter, Ashley, saw Gary Stroud carry a bottle ofbleach into the garage on November 27,2011, at approximately 14:30; .18. That there is a bottle of bleach and a bag of lime near the body in the garage;

19. That Gary Stroud told Diane Stroud's mother, son, and daughter that DianeStroud ran away to join a cult at or near the time that Diane Stroud first went' .'missing; ,

20. That Diane Stroud's daughter first noticed an odor coming from the garagearound Thanksgiving (November 24, 2011) and that the odor was getting'worse;

at 5610. Marine Parkway;. .

23. That Diane Stroud's computer has been missing sincethe time Diane Stroudwent missing;

24. That the body was located in a sleeping bag and the head was wrappedin agarbage bag that was secured with duct tape and the sleeping bag Wascontained in a tarp-like cover that was secured with duct tape; . ..

25. That 5610 Marine Parkway, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Lake County, Ohio, isdescribed asa two-story single family dwelling that is white in color with greenshutters, with the numbers 5610 displayed on the left side of the garage door(between the garage door and the front door of thehouse) 'and the numbers5610 also displayed on both posts of the mailbox thatis located near the road.The front door and the attached garage face East. There are.fourIa) vehicleson the property: a maroon 4 door Jeep Cherokee Sport (license number DPG-7504); a black 4 door Jeep 4x4 Patriot (license numberEEC-1245); a red 4doorPontiac Vibe (license number EKM-6666); a silver 4 door Kia Spectra(licensenumber EIM-5596), of which search is sought for three of the vehicles: the JeepCherokee Sport, the Jeep 4x4 Patriot, and the PontiacVibe, in addition to theresidence;

26. That probable cause exists that the following crimes' have been committed:Murder (R.C. 2903.02); Tampering with Evidence (R.C.2921 .12); Abuse of aCorpse (R.C. 2927.01); Failure to Report Knowledge of a Death' (R.C.2921 .211) and that probable cause exists that evidence of those crimes islocated at 5610 Marine Parkway, Mentor-on-the-Lake, LakeCounty, Ohio, andin the above-described vehicles that are on the proper1:y:arnaroonddoor JeepCherokee Sport (license number DPG-7504); a black 4 door Jeep 4x4 Patriot(license number EEC-1245); a red 4 door Pontiac Vibe (license number EKM-6666); a silver 4 door KiaSpectra (license number EIM-5596);
