Basedonaspecialpartnershipbetween theParisSchoolof InternationalAffairsofSciencesPo (PSIA)and

the

Agence FranaisedeDveloppement (AFD),multiple scholarships ranging frompartial to fulltuition grantswill be offered every year to incoming students in theDevelopment programs of PSIA,

coming from AFD priority countries in Africa. The AFD is the main implementing agency for Frances

officialdevelopmentassistancetodevelopingcountriesandoverseasterritories.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates are students admitted to the Paris School of International Affairs ofSciencesPo(PSIA)forthe2014intake,andenrolledintheMasterinDevelopmentPractice(oneyearprogram)orintheMasterinInternationalDevelopment(twoyearprogram).

The AFDPSIA Scholarship is dedicated to students from Africa. Priority will be given to students

comingfrom

the

following

countries:

Benin,

Burkina

Faso,

Burundi,

Central

African

Republic,

Chad,

Comoros,DemocraticRepublicofCongo,Djibouti,Eritrea,Ethiopia,Gambia,Ghana,Guinea,Guinea

Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Liberia, Niger,

Rwanda,SaoTomeandPrincipe,Senegal,SierraLeone,Tanzania, Togo,UgandaandZimbabwe.

Studentsapplyingtoadualdegreeprogramarenoteligible. Important: please note that an application to the AFDPSIA Scholarship does not constitute an

applicationtoSciencesPo.AllapplicantsmustfirstcompleteanapplicationforadmissiontoSciences

Poandensuretheyhavesubmitteditsuccessfully.Ifthisfirststageisnotcompleted,theapplication

fortheAFDPSIAScholarshipwillnotbeconsidered.PleasevisittheSciencesPoAdmissionswebsite

ScholarshipConditions

Multiplescholarshipswillbeawardedonacompetitivebasistothebestcandidatesonthebasisoftheir

academicrecordandtheirprojectatSciencesPo.

Inprinciple,theAFDPSIAScholarshipgoestowardscoveringtuitionfees.

The AFDPSIA scholarship is offered for the entire length of study at PSIA on condition of sufficient

academicperformance (top50%of class). Studentswhodonotmeet this requirementwillhave their

scholarshipwithdrawn.

MasterinDevelopmentPractice:inprinciple,thescholarshipisofferedforoneyear.Studentsenrolled

onthis

program

must

show

sufficient

academic

performance

during

the

first

semester

or

their

scholarshipwillbewithdrawninthesecondsemester.

Master inInternationalDevelopment: inprinciple,thescholarship isofferedforbothyearsofstudy.

Studentsenrolledonthisprogrammustshowsufficientacademicperformanceoverthecourseofthe

firstyearortheirscholarshipwillbewithdrawninthesecondyear.

The scholarship is dependent on the awardees completing their course of study at PSIA.A change in

Masterwillleadtothewithdrawalofthescholarship.

PleasenotethatthescholarshipofferisforstudentsbeginningtheirstudiesinSeptember2014andmay

notbe

deferred.
