Peer Academic Excellence Workshop Evaluation Workshop Evaluated: Mark Gschwind Date: 2/17/15 Detailed Agenda: Has a very detailed agenda. Mark even includes the games and icebreakers they will be doing during the session. Movement Around Room: Mark is faster than Flash Gordon. He moves with ease to help his participants individually or moves to the center of the board to work with the group as a whole. Time at the Board: He spends an adequate amount of time at the board, but still allows the participants to work together and explain problems at the board as well. Use of Open-Ended Questions: Mark utilizes open-ended questions to stimulate his groups thought process on the problem at hand. His questions allow them to get started after getting stuck on an intuitive integration method often appear in MAT 296 material. Use of Periods of Silence: When it is silent mark either works with another participant, or uses the time to set up another problem for the participants to work together to solve. Dynamics Between Facilitator/Participants and Participants/Participants: They seem to work well together in a group setting. Mark and his participants work together on problems after they’ve attempted them on their own to fully master the style of problem. Evaluation Performed By:
