DEMAND ON HOSPITAL SERVICES IS RISINGDEVELOP LEAN PROCESSES TO MEET INCREASING DEMAND

HOSPITALS UNDER PRESSURE

Within the challenging enviroment that is today’s healthcare landscape, hospitals are under increasing pressure to meet the rising demand for patient services, whilst maintaining high standards of care.

With operational and financial pressures, hospitals are assessing ways to overcome the challenges, whilst also utilising resources more effieciently.

One common issue that can greatly affect hospitals is torn wrap. On average, 404 instrument sets reprocessed per hospital, per annum, face this avoidable inconvenience1. The impact can be delays or cancellations to planned surgery, reducing productivity and wasting valuable operating time.

To solve the problem an increasing number of hospitals are moving away from traditional methods of wrapping instrumentation sets and converting to a rigid packaging system.

SOLUTION

Aesculap Sterile Containers are an innovative, modern and sustainable solution that enable hospitals to adopt leaner processes, whilst reducing clinical waste and the ecological footprint created from the use of disposable products.

Offering a validated system, conforming to the current DIN EN ISO standards for packaging sterilised medical devices, Aesculap Sterile Containers ensure the contents remain sterile and free from contamination, for a period of up to 365 days. Aesculap Sterile Containers can be found on all major

frameworks and hubs.

A PARTNERSHIP APPROACH

Working collaboratively with our healthcare partners, B. Braun Medical Ltd, the global market leader for Sterile Containers2, has designed a range of procurement solutions to meet budgetary requirements, ensuring immediate cost savings are realised.

For a fixed monthly fee, a Managed Equipment Service offers the required volume of Sterile Containers installed upfront, with proactive maintenance thereafter. This ensures the investment is effectively managed throughout its life cycle, without any capital outlay or ongoing hidden costs.

On average 404 instrument sets per hospital, per annum, have to be reprocessed due to torn wrap.
