Crimping and De-Crimping
Manual crimper Model AP79/L has beenspecially designed for crimping 1”aerosol valves. It is a very robust andsimple to use crimping tool.
Model SV80 de-crimper is an efficientpneumatically operated machine forremoving valves from de-gassed cans.
Both these machines are low cost andavailable ex stock.
Crimping and Gassing
Semi-Automatic bench mounted unit forcrimping and gassing. Ideal for alllaboratory and small production runs.
Simple and fast operation, one can isbeing crimped while previously crimpedcan is being gas filled.
Requires low volume compressed air at6-8 bar pressure.
Bag-on-Valve (BOV)
A machine for laboratory or small scaleproduction use. The can is pressurisedwith compressed air or Nitrogen prior tocrimping. Once crimped the product isfilled under high pressure through thevalve.
Typical operating speed is 10-15 cpm.

Automatic Test Bath
Automatic test baths are available foroperating line speeds from 60 to 240cans per min.
Heating systems are manufactured tosuit individual client’s requirements.The tanks can be heated by steam, hotwater or electric immersion heater.
These baths have easy and quickchangeover of diameter tooling, withdrop on tooling for both the infeed andoutfeed can transfer starwheels.
Infeed and outfeed starwheels haveoverload protection.
Easy can height adjustment by means ofa hand wheel.
These test baths can be supplied withoptional hood and ventilation system.
There is an aerosol valve water blow offdevice by air jet over the exit ramp. Anoptional can drying tunnel fitted on theoutfeed conveyor can be supplied.
Additional features can be supplied tosuit client’s requirements.
Manual Test Bath
We can also supply a manual test bathfor laboratory and small productionruns.
This is manufactured from stainlesssteel and has wire mesh baskets forsubmerging the cans.
The heating is by means of a flameproofimmersion heater.
Water Test Baths
A S Machinery Sales Ltd supplies afull range of actuator and cap placingmachines for all production line speeds.
Tooling sets are designed to be easilychanged from one actuator or cap to thenext.
Machines are available for line speedsfrom 60 to 180 pieces per minute. We canalso offer a combined machine whereboth components are placed on onemachine.
Actuator and cap placing machines canbe supplied as single units or part of afull production line.
Each type of machine has solid stateinfra red infeed and outfeed can queuecontrols.
The over cap feeding system and theactuator feed track are equipped withfibre optic or infra red queue controls.
When the machine is stopped air trackjets are shut down automatically.
There is an airveyor transfer for theactuator from the bowl to the turret, andan airveyor or conveyor belt over captransfer from the feeder bowl to theturret.
The capping machine can be suppliedwith a cap hopper/elevator and this willbe integrated into the control system.
Additional features for each machinecan be supplied to meet client’s specialrequirements.
The combined machine requires lessfloor space than individual machines, animportant feature when floor space islimited.
Actuator and Cap Placing Machines
BOV Sorter Feed System
Bag-on-Valve (BOV) crimping/fillingsystems are available as laboratory units (semi-automatic) or as full lineswith automatic feeding of the BOVcomponent.

Shave Gel Blending Pump
Shave gel and shower gel blending pumpfor indexing aerosol machines.
This pump would typically be used to fillblended gel into the Bag on Valve (BOV) system. Each pump cycle forcesmeasured doses of each component (soapbase and iso-pentane) together in aspecial mixing chamber. The two partsare shear mixed using a Sulzer staticmixer to achieve a homogenised blend.
Bag-on-Valve (BOV) and Gel Blending
A S Machinery Sales Ltd can offer arange of transportable LPG gas fillingrooms.
These rooms are manufactured fromglass reinforced polyester (GRP) and aredelivered complete with servicesincluding ventilation and gas detectionsystems.
They offer an ideal solution to achievinga cost effective and safe LPG gassingenvironment.
They are tough and weatherproof, andconstructed with a roof explosion reliefpanel.
Doors and conveyor openings are madeto suit customer’s gassing machine.

The ventilation system has stainlesssteel ducting to gas filling machine andfloor of gassing room.
Gas detection system with controls togas sensors and LPG auto valve.
Internal LPG pipe work system to thegas filling machine and gas inlet.
For new line installations the gassingmachine is pre-installed in the room andall internal services are connected.This reduces installation time.

LPG Systems - LPG Gas Filling Rooms
A S Machinery Sales Ltd can offerthrough OPES (UK) custom built gasstorage systems and de-stenching(cleaning) systems.
LPG storage tanks in a variety of sizesare available for installation both overground and under ground.
The installation illustrated shows a sub-mounded tank on a site where there wasa limited distance from the factory.
LPG de-stenching (cleaning) systems areavailable as 3 column systems in twocapacities:
10 Litres/min and 50 Litres/min.
The first column is filled with silica gel,the second with molecular sieve, and thethird with activated carbon.
OPES are a UK based company whohave installed LPG tanks and cleaningsystems for aerosol companies inEurope, Africa, the Middle East andAsia.
