The emer g enc y ventilati6n s y stem for the tunnel had been studied , thrOu g h numerical sinulation , so that wind velocit y in the tunnel would be dam p ed q t t iCkl y b y means of j 91 fan cOntrol in case of fire. The full s y stem p ro p ose d i n the numerical simulatiOn was intttalled a n d detai16d teSts were p erformed for the confirmation of the p erformance of the s y stOm before p ublic service. In thё test , j et fans or actualtruckS Were used to simulate the traffic influence, Also j et fans were used to substitute natural wind effect, B y controllin g the rest of the j et fans a q uick reducti6■ Of the wind Velocit y was obtained which Was q▼ alita t をl y si ilar to the simulatめn resuユts, Alon g with some of the ab6ve mentio 4 ed tests , tra y s of g asOhne or used busses were set on firo in order to observe the behavior of smoke carried b y the , o4 - trolled wind Velocit y .
