AEGIR-Marine @ SMM 2016Just a couple of days and we are 'moving' our office to Hamburg. The SMM is theplace to be once it's September. SMM fever has already broken out and we are busypreparing our stand, staff, exhibition papers and... our Special Service Truck.
AEGIR is quite known at the SMM. Our booth stands out with its reflection of a dry dock.We didn't chose this image to be different, but to show our customers that this is the placewhere our engineers can be found. This is where we feel at home and where we performmost of our services.
We will be at the SMM with an all-round team. This means that we can help you right thereand then regardless of the information you may need. We hope to see you at SMM stand

Great thruster job The huge thruster part on the photos is just the underwater part of the unit. It'sthe lower gearbox of the spare thruster of a pipe laying vessel. It has justarrived at the Propulsion Service Workshop in Wijk bij Duurstede. The pipelaying vessel that this unit belongs to has 11 Azimuth thrusters like this; 10 inuse and 1 spare. These thrusters are among the biggest thrusters in the world.Read more
10 more thrusters to go The spare thruster at the workshop in Wijk bij Duurstede is just one of the 11thrusters the vessel uses. As we write, the other 10 thrusters are in Palermo,
Italy, to be overhauled.The vessel could not dock with the thrusters mounted. They, therefore, had tobe removed on beforehand by divers.Now there are 10 thrusters laying on the Sicilian quay.The propellers will have to be removed in order to renew the liner. Follow this job on our site.
