C3 Lighting has incorporated their revolutionary remote power and control technology for LED lighting into a system that brings numerous attributes to the patient room. Our patient room light-ing is functional as well as enhances the patient experience. An Intelligent Power Distribution Module serves as the heart of the system and provides a portal for Microprocessor Controlled Lighting, creating a new dimension in programmable lighting. C3’s technology places the power supply for LED illumination in a central location and runs only low voltage DC power into the patient’s room. This decreases the size of fixtures, provides a safer environment, reduces the room’s heat load and decreases installation costs. Lighting can be controlled by a wall switch, a bedside remote, a personal electronic device such as an iPhone or Android, or from the nurse’s station computer.

Single or multiple fixtures provide general room illumination, high intensity lighting for reading, a focused exam/procedure light, amber night lighting, “Blue Light Therapy”, and programmable ?Dawn-to-Dusk illumination. Each of these capabilities adds to a patient’s comfort and conve-nience. It has been shown that “Blue Light Therapy” decreases levels of melatonin which can reduce depression. Amber night lighting serves as a light source for a patient to get out of bed or for the nurse to observe the patient. Unlike white light it does not reduce levels of melatonin, allow-ing a patient to more easily return to sleep. Programmable “Dawn-to-Dusk” lighting can regulate or stimulate a more natural circadian rhythm that is often difficult to maintain when patients are indoors for extended periods of time. A more natural circadian rhythm can reduce both hospital stay and levels of medication. The integrated exam/procedure light has the same technology found in C3’s External Field Surgical Light where both the level of illumination and the color of light output can be varied to increase visualization and help the physician focus on fine detail.

Cove Lighting can be included in C3’s Patient Room Lighting System, providing an attractive “wall washing” effect that can be programmed to dim and/or fade between selected colors, or simply cover the wall with tunable white or colored light. This adds an architectural lighting element to the room that serves to distract and relax the patient. Round down lights can also be added to highlight selected areas of the patient room. These fixtures also include the ability to be programmed with the same lighting effects as the main Patient Room Lighting. All C3 patient room fixtures are sealed (IP-66) and electroplated with an antimicrobial coating that suppresses the growth of bacteria, fungi, spores, and other contaminants.

P A T I E N T R O O M I L L U M I N A T I O N

C3’s Patient Room Lighting System eliminates the flickering seen with fluorescent lights and many of today’s LED lighting systems. This flicker is often not perceived by the patient or staff but leads to eye fatigue. C3’s lights are dimmed using a special high frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) technology that flashes the LEDs on and off at an extremely high rate which determines the effective light output, is imperceptible to the human eye and does not affect human biological systems. C3’s lighting not only reduces eye strain, but also provides a more comfortable light for reading and general room illumination. This technology is especially important when considering the amount of time that a patient spends in an artificially lit room, often with insufficient natural sunlight.

This product was designed specifically for Patient Room applications.

Available in downlighting only, uplighting only, or a combination of up

and down lighting. Both directions of illumination can be individually

controlled. Circadian (Dawn-to-Dusk) illumination and Tunable-White

lighting are available as options. A unique patent pending drop-in

frame provides easy installation in T-Bar acoustic ceilings. Agion

Antimicrobial Powder Coat finish and IP-66 sealed fixtures are just a

few of the features that position this product as the most advanced

illumination system for the Patient Room.

As with all C3 illuminators Remote Power Distribution and Control is a

standard feature, removing drivers from the fixture, allowing the

option of Class 2 wiring that usually does not require metal conduit

(check local code). When Class 2 is specified, this technology

eliminates the possibility of fire or electrocution related to the lighting

system.

C3 Lighting has developed a suspended LED Over Bed Fixture for the

“Patient Room of the Future”. Our unique design provides direct reading

and exam lighting, and indirect ambient and dawn-to-dusk illumination.

Indirect illumination is reflected off acoustical tile or our specular panel

inserts to avoid glare in the patient’s eyes. Our Remote Power and Control

Technology allows control from our membrane wall switches, pillow

speaker controls, iPhones and iPads. A patent pending mounting bracket

provides easy installation in both T-Bar and hard lids.

This is the only Over Bed Fixture that provides optimal light for the hospital

staff and physicians while providing safe indirect illumination for the

Aedis LED Wall Wash Fixtures are high power LED lights that are used for decorative lighting to highlight or wash walls of hospitals

with a full spectrum of colors. Available in a variety of sizes, Aedis Wall Wash Fixtures consist of an array of ION™ Solid-State Light

Engines mounted in specialized housings, pre-wired and configured to meet Class 1 or Class 2 electrical safety requirements.

These fixtures enable designers, architects, manufacturers, integrators and lighting professionals to create new applications for LED

illumination. The scope and diversity of uses for the Wall Wash Fixture, combined with their inherently safe low voltage design (when

specified Class 2), energy efficiency, eco-friendliness, shallow profile and perfectly even illumination make them ideal for integration

into healthcare lighting applications.

HOUSING: Extruded Aluminum Housing.


ILLUMINATION: RGB, RGBA, RGBW, 2,000K, 3,000K, 3,500K,

4,200K, 5,000K, 6,000K, Tunable-White, or Dawn-to-Dusk.

ELECTRICAL: Aluminum J-Box with current limiter provided for

Class 1 power. J-Box is optional for Class 2 power.
