I am very pleased to announce that I have entered into a business agree-ment that will allow me to continue to serve my clients for many years to
come. In about 2.5 years, Ameriprise Private Wealth Advisor, Glen Snell, will purchase Juhnke Financial Group. While Glen will assume the ownership and management role for the business, I will continue to
serve my clients’ needs as long as they and I desire. Glen has been with Ameriprise for over 20 years, and owns a very successful practice called Prairie Hills Financial Group, A private wealth ad-visory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Our office will merge with his McPherson and Hutchinson locations. His son, Financial Advisor Dale, manages the office in Hutchin-son. The combined staff will allow us to create additional efficiencies in the delivery of services for our clients. Our offices will be connected by vari-ous cloud-based computer programs that currently exist. Many of you have already met Philip Edgar, APMA® and Grant Gar-wood, Financial Advisors in my Wichita office. Philip and Grant have already been lightening my load by taking over some of the advisory and servicing responsibilities for some of my existing
clients. They are also building their own practices with new clients. Both of these individuals are very capable at providing quality financial advice and excellent customer service. Please keep them in mind for any referrals that you might have who want to work with a younger advisor. You can visit JuhnkeFinancialGroup.com to learn more about Philip and Grant. My role will not change much for the next 2.5 years. It is my hope that the practice can continue to grow and will be even stronger at the time that we merge with Prairie Hills Financial Group. I will also be available to assist Philip and Grant with any of their client needs. You may have an
opportunity to meet Glen at some of our client events, or maybe at our of-fice. You can also read about him on his website, ameripriseadvisors.com/glen.e.snell. I appreciate the strong relation-ships that I have had with many of my clients. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any concerns regarding the changes. Both Glen and I consider this to be one of the best growth opportunities possible for all concerned.

An evening at the clubhouse... Retirement Savings Contributions Credit(Saver’s Credit)You may be able to take a tax credit for making eligible contributions to your IRA or employer-sponsored retirement plan.
Who’s eligible for the credit?
You’re eligible for the credit if you’re:
1. Age 18 or older;
2. Not a full-time student; and
3. Not claimed as a dependent on another person’s return.
See instructions for Form 8880, Credit for Qualified Retirement Savings Contributions, for the definition of a full-time student.
Amount of the credit
The amount of the credit is 50%, 20%, or 10% of your retirement plan or IRA contributions up to $2,000 ($4,000 if married filing jointly), depending on your adjusted gross income (reported on your Form 1040 or 1040A). Use the chart below to calculate your credit.

Retirement savings eligible for the credit
The Saver’s Credit can be taken for your contributions to a traditional or Roth IRA; your 401(k), SIMPLE IRA, SAREP, 403(b), 501(c)(18) or governmental 457(b) plan; and your voluntary after-tax employee contributions to your qualified retirement and 403(b) plans.
Rollover contributions (money that you moved from another retirement plan or IRA) aren’t eligible for the Saver’s Credit. Also, your eligible contributions may be reduced by any recent distributions you received from a retirement plan or IRA.
Example: Jill, who works at a retail store, is married and earned $35,000 in 2015. Jill’s husband was unemployed in 2015 and didn’t have any earnings. Jill contributed $1,000 to her IRA in 2015. After deducting her IRA contribution, the adjusted gross in-come shown on her joint return is $34,000. Jill may claim a 50% credit, $500, for her $1,000 IRA contribution.
