    Prasoon Joshi was born on 16 September

    1971 inAlmora, Uttarakhand, India.

    He spent his growing years in various towns

    including Narendra Nagar, Tehri, ChamoliGopeshwar& later Rampur, Meerut and

    Dehradun.

    He started writing early in life and publishedhis first book at age of17, Main aur Woh

    Graduation in Physics,thereafter he did his MBA

    from Institute of

    Management Technology,

    Ghaziabad, India. During hisMBA education he decided

    to make his career in

    advertising.

    Started his career with Ogilvy &

    Mather(O&M) Delhi, and worked for over10

    years.

    Later, he joined McCann-Erickson(2002).

    He was elevated to Executive Chairman forMcCann World group India and Regional

    Creative Director Asia Pacific by 2006.

    He designs his advertisements not only forhis clients but he is most concerned about

    the consumer for whom the advertisement is

    made.

    Prasoon has created advertisements

    like NDTV India ("Sach dikhate hain hum"),

    Saffola ("Abhi to main jawan hoon") LG,

    Marico, Perfetti (Alpenliebe, Chloromint), andthe thanda matlab campaign for Coca Cola

    withAamir Khan, Happydent -which is

    considered by experts as India's best ad till

    date.

    Won the Golden Lions Awardat Cannes in 2003 for the Coca Cola Ad.

    Chosen as 'Young Global Leader2006' by the

    Forum of Young Global Leaders, an affiliate ofthe World Economic Forum.

    Invited as the Cannes Jury Chairman in 2007.

    Named amongst the exclusive 10-member

    Cannes Titanium & Integrated Jury 2009 atthe Cannes Lions International Advertising

    Festival 2009.

    Her first job was a big letdown, though shewas hired as a Visualiser in lintas but never

    gave her the chance.

    Then she joined O&M, & there shestraightaway started working with

    copywriters, started ideating, rather than

    doing finishing work.

    The turning point came when Ashok Kurien,owner of Rediffusion Ad Agency offered her

    to become his co partner in his agency.

    reinterpreted the saree as a fashion garment.

    The campaign proved to be a platform foridentifying future beauty queens 3 consecutive

    Miss Indias (NamrataShirodkar, MadhuSapre

    and Aishwarya Rai).

    1994 - Sil Jams with an insight that struck

    her watching her husband behave like a

    delighted 4 - year old. 1996 - Lakme Peach Milk captured the

    heightened effect that beauty and soft skin

    had on an adolescent boy.

    Show. She has represented India as a jury member

    in several international award shows,

    including D&AD, the Clio Awards, AdFest

    and more recently as part of the design jury

    at Spikes Asia 2009.

    ten best-known design brands in the country

    by The Economic Times.

    In 2009, Red Lion won a Gold award in

    Goafest, Silver and Gold at Spikes Asia and

    a Silver Design Lion.
