Advertising Guidelines The integrity of Herbalife’s Sales and Marketing Plan, and legalities, make it necessary for us to inform you about some important rules and policies regarding advertising and promotion of the Herbalife products and opportunity. As a Herbalife Independent Distributor, you are responsible for complying with Herbalife’s advertising rules and regulations contained in your Herbalife International Business Pack materials, myherbalife.com, and elsewhere. We are confident that you will find these rules and regulations protect you and your business as much as they protect Herbalife. General Rules

• Have a good supply of Herbalife produced literature for the products and business opportunity; these items will be the best source of testimonials that will help you promote your business.

• Your identity must always be clearly stated. Mail order, direct response and on-

line advertisements must provide your verifiable, permanent address. • Herbalife logos and/or trademarks cannot be used in your advertising without

Herbalife’s prior written authorization.

• Product advertisements may be published under the following headings: beauty, fitness, skin care, miscellaneous. Do not publish them under health care or medical headings.

• Distributors are responsible for complying with all local laws and ordinances when advertising or promoting the products and/or business opportunity.


Business Opportunity Advertising

• Distributors may not imply that a job is being offered. The “Employment Opportunity” or “Position Vacant” categories in media advertising cannot be used. It should always be clear that an independent business opportunity is being offered.

• Opportunity advertisements may be published under the following headings:

“Business Opportunity”, ”Income Opportunity”, “Work From Home”, “Miscellaneous”. Do not publish them under “Job,” “Employment,” or “Help Wanted” headings.
