Carl Miron on the creation of Colorado Off Road Extreme:

My vision, back in 2004,was to create a multiple terrain off road facility for off road enthusiasts. We found 800 acres of rural property 50 miles east of Denver, but still accessible to the public. We brought in over a million pounds of rock, tires, concrete culverts, and other obstacles to challenge your vehicles. Then we installed an underground water system to supply four mud pits and a mud field. Now we are a major off road park, including motocross tracks, multiple rally tracks and short course race tracks. Our desert race track is a challenging fifteen miles plus of rough technical features, the only facility to test true desert cars in the state. We’re a leading facility for off road racing in Colorado.

In addition to holding many events every year, we have become the premier testing facility for some of the biggest names in off road. Rally drivers include the likes of Tanner Foust, Andrew Pinker, Mitch Williams, Dave Kern, Jimmy Keeney just to name a few. Our rally cross facility is home to some of the nations top rally cross competitors in the states. Our short course tracks provide a valuable testing facility to some great short course racers like Brad Lovell, Shawn Morris, and Dillion Riemer.

We also have the only facility to really test the true desert cars in the state, and have some of the biggest names in off road racing from the states of Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, New Mexico and Nebraska. Steve Strobel, Jim Price, Mitch Armstrong, Devon Rumsey, Mike Rumsey, Bob Atkinson, Tom Franks, Rich Langren, L.D. Smith, Richard McMillan, Mike Palmer, Jay Visic and many many more. We provide crucial testing for the King Of the Hammers competitors from these states as well, as we can provide the fast as well as the rocks to do true Hammers testing.

Here are a few driver profiles that have raced or tested at Colorado Off Road Extreme:

Tanner Foust who is a professional driver with a record of top finishes, Tanner is a three-time X Games gold medalist and two-time Formula Drift champion. His varied racing experience also includes open wheel competition, the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, rally racing, sports car racing and the SCORE Baja. Also recognized for his work in front of the camera, Tanner is an on-air host for Top Gear USA.

Nathan Conley has also tested at CORE. Nathan has competed in the Pikes Peak National Hill Climb, Rally America and the X Games.

Andrew Pinker has raced in the X Games, Rally-America, and British Rally.

Jimmy Keeney has raced Global Rally Cross, Rally-America and the X Games.

Steve Strobel achievements are : 2012 racing season Steve was named SCORE Rookie of the Year, 1st Overall - 2011 BITD Vegas To Reno, 2nd in Class 1 - 2007 SCORE Baja 1000, 2002 Best In The Desert Class 10 Champion, SNORE Class 10 Winner - Battle At Primm, and BITD Class 10 Winner - Tonopah 300.

Brad Lovell is Pro lite driver Traxis off road racing series Desert and rock racing champion. He has also raced in the Baja 1000.

Greg Lundeen currently races in the King of Hammers and races at Colorado Off Road Extreme.

Chad Burchik also races at the King of Hammers and at Colorado Off Road Extreme.
