In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following requirements shall constitute as essential requirements:

i. Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks for (or an

equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two years full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by AICTE / UGC. OR First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body.

ii. A minimum of ten years experience of teaching industry / research

profession, out of which five years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent excluding the period spent for obtaining research degree. The candidate should have Professional work experience, which is significant and can be recognized at national / international level and equivalent to Ph.D. and ten years managerial experience in industry / profession of which at least five years should be at the level comparable to that of lecturer / assistant professor.

Essential i. First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering(Engg.)

& Technology (Tech.). ii. Passed the examination of CCC+ of DOEACC or of the equivalent level as

may be determined by the State Government from time to time within the probation period.

The following are considered as desirable:

a. Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET), or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test – SLET / SET),

b. NET/SLET /SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment. Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET

3 Research Associate for Center of Financial Services:

GTU combines all management education in Gujarat. As part of its effort to update and upgrade its MBA curriculum, GTU has decided to initiate introduction of specialist education related to the large and growing financial services industry in India. GTU proposes to recruit four Research Associates with an academic or professional background, work experience or exposure to financial services industry – notably financial markets and public policy issues.

Position Responsibilities RAs – Financial Education will be expected to

1. Monitor all Financial Markets Education available in India and abroad 2. Help GTU develop external qualifications based course curricula 3. Coordinate the curriculum development effort with GTU Syllabus

Committee RAs – Public Policy will be expected to study the issues of public finance and develop position papers for its professors for their research work

PhD preferred, but a Master’s degree with 4/5 years’ experience with a market institution such as brokerage house, exchange or related educational institution may be considered.

Job Content: RAs – Financial Education The University expects the RAs to focus on continuing research of

1. Financial markets related education needs of management students, 2. The job related needs of employers from the financial services

institutions, and 3. The professional educational qualifications, content and academic

research available with the educational and professional financial institutions or regulators in India and overseas.

The RAs will then also be expected to interact with 1. The GTU affiliated institutions to review and update the management

education curriculum related to management of financial markets

Job Content : RAs – Public Policy will be expected to develop papers and maintain a web-site for all the research work done by them, the professors and students associated with GTU

Desirable :

I. Having knowledge of various softwares. II. Possess adequate exposure in handling one or more functions related

to General Administration/Housekeeping/ Purchase/ Service matters/Office management/ Establishment/ Accounts & Finance/ /HR/Legal in a computerized environment.

III. Possess good communication and analytical skills and aptitude for drafting/noting in English and Gujarati. Should be able to coordinate/ liaise with other divisions/departments and participate in discussions with senior functionaries and Academicians.

IV. All recruits are expected to work in a computerized environment. Research Associate for its DSTU project

Designing Structure of Technological University (DSTU) research project is a joint project of the ‘Post-graduate Center for Technology Education, Public Policy and Universities of the 21st Century’, the ‘Post-graduate Center for Governance Systems in Businesses, Industries, Universities, Hospitals, NGOs and Governments’ and the ‘GTU Skills Council On Human Resource Studies & Organizational Structures (GTU- CHRSOS)’. For the DSTU project, GTU requires one Research Assistant and one Research Associate, purely on a temporary basis for the duration of the project. The Research Assistants will be required to assist in the study of the history and structure of Universities of the world, to research trends in higher education, to review the recent research in the area and to help compile the Research Report.

Educational Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech./MBA/ MCA (First Class)/ Ph D (Education)

Essential:

The candidate must have a B Ttech/BE and an MBA with at least two years’ experience in coordinating and handling large teams in a managerial position. The candidate must have excellent communication skills.

The candidate with a domain experience of working as a entrepreneur or with organizations working in entrepreneurial space will be preferable. Expertise and experience in early stage/ venture/ innovation financing, structuring & financial modelling, policy advisory, organisational strategy and knowledge management will be required for the position.

The Project Officer (Entrepreneurship Coordinator) will be required to



______________________________________________________________________ undertake all coordination, documentation and internal management of a Student Start-up Support System (S4) Center with around fifty students, faculty members or alumni participants working to develop marketable proto-types. The Project Officer will work to bring support systems from outside GTU and from all over the country for mentoring and supporting the participants. In addition the Project Officer will work to inculcate the idea of entrepreneurship in all the students associated with GTU.

5 Programmer

Minimum Qualification: First Class in B.E. Computer Engg/ Computer Sceince/ Information Technology, or First Class MCA Experience: 3 Years in following :

1. Experience in JAVA and .NET or PHP or both, and My-SQL or MS-SQL or both.

2. Experience in Computer software & other comparable experience in office automation/ e-governance/ ERP/ Networking.

3. Expected to join as team member with focus on networking and planning for different aspects of GTU infrastructure.

4. The applicant should have exposure/ aptitude in more than one of the following broad areas a) Programming in C, C++, PERL, PYTHON, RUBY etc. and Shell

Programming. b) Knowledge of Network/ Distributed/ Web based applications and their

security. c) Familiarity with hardware platforms and knowledge about Hardware

OS interaction. d) Open Source software installation, configuration, and maintenance. e) Develop document and conduct technical training sessions for end

6 Research Assistants in Mobile Tech and associated Innovations:
