The Adventure Cycling Route . . .
Project Description . . . A collaborative effort to provide Adventure Cycling with educational support materials for their new, Underground Railroad Bicycle Route
Will include the following deliverables: Map of the UNRR route with rollover bubbles that contain links to locations of interest along the route
Textboxes that will appear at the bottom of the page, containing:
historic information about each of the locations/stops
information about locations of interest, including important, related information (addresses, contacts, etc.)
1. Proposal Stage We proposed to Joy Santee, a representative of Adventure Cycling, that we develop educational materials to accompany their new tour “The Underground Railroad”
Conscious of Time Constraints, we offered two alternative print packages: A Participant Pack: historical material about the UGRR in general and their stops as well
A Community Pack: publicity documents that local communities could use to learn about the trip and publicize their own involvement
Joy chose Participant Pack
2. Adjustments Made Research Allen Brizee suggested, and we all developed, an idea to deliver this information electronically [instead of paper]
New Deliverable: interactive map.
How Work? The interactive ap of the UNRR route with rollover bubbles that contain links to locations of interest along the route
