He will come like last leaf's fall.One night when the November windhas flayed the trees to the bone, and earthwakes choking on the mould,the soft shroud's folding.
He will come like frost.One morning when the shrinking earthopens on mist, to find itselfarrested in the netof alien, sword-set beauty.

Advent Carol Service This Evening at 6pm
Today is Advent Sunday.
The music of Advent is deeply beautiful and helps Christian people prepare
spiritually for the Christmas festivities.
Our Advent Carol Service is a wonderful way to experience this. The Service is at
6pm this evening. Please come and bring some friends with
you.
Advent Quiet Morning Saturday 9th December
On Saturday 9th December Fr Tim will conduct
an Advent Quiet Morning here in Church.
There will be three devotional talks on the Advent spirituality and doctrine of
Russian Icons of Our Lady, along with advice about how to pray in the periods of
silence.
The morning will run from 9.30am till 1.15pm
and will include Mass and Benediction. Please bring some lunch with you. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Bishop Jonathan to visit St Michael’s
The Rt Revd Jonathan Baker, Bishop of Fulham, will be visiting St
Michael’s again this Thursday.
Bishop Jonathan is coming in his capacity
as a trustee of the Number One Trust,
an Anglo-Catholic grant-making organisation which has been
extremely generous in helping to fund the establishment of our
Pastoral Assistant Scheme here at St Michael’s.
Bishop Jonathan will be accompanied by

Pilgrimage to Lourdes
6th – 10th August 2018
The Society of Mary is organising its biennial pilgrimage to
Lourdes. The cost for adults (including
direct return flights from London to
Lourdes) is in the region of
£600. Subsidised places are available for those aged 12-18.
£150 deposit is required by 31st January 2018.
